Corrie's Minnie is a monster

NEWCOMER Poppy Jhakra is joining Corrie as a tearaway in a bid by bosses to make the soap reflect Manchester’s ethnic mix.

The actress, 23, will play Minnie, a kebab shop worker who quickly reveals a temper by covering a punter in chilli sauce.

She is the fourth Asian character introduced after a race equality report slammed the ITV1 show for “stereotyping” and “tokenism”.

love the way they want to get rid of stereotypes, so they stick this new one in a kebab shop!
