Johnny Depp has begged Matt Lucas for a role in the Little Britain movie - after loving the debut of the American series.
The pair are filming Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland in Los Angeles and have struck up a firm friendship.
A movie insider said: "Johnny was laying it on thick saying how much he enjoyed the first episode of the series.
"He said he would do anything to have a part in the movie."
Lucas - playing Tweedledum and Tweedledee opposite Depp's Mad Hatter - said of plans for a Little Britain film: "We thought it would be interesting to make a movie where we play lots of characters."
Depp is a fan of UK comedy and has already made a cameo appearance in The Fast Show.
The first episode of Little Britain USA on BBC1 on Friday pulled in five million viewers.
