A nervous Rachel Weston (Claire Goose) makes her way through the corridors of Sun Hill on her first day as the new Inspector. Meeting DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) outside her new office, he informs her that one of his contacts has tipped him off about a crack den and suggests that uniform and CID work together on a raid.
Rachel briefs the troops about the drugs bust and soon all officers are outside the house, moving into position. On Rachel's instructions, the house is raided and while some junkies are arrested, it's clear they've been tipped off. PC Leon Taylor (Dominic Power) is distracted by a noise coming from a boarded up fireplace and when the boards are moved, he and Rachel are shocked to discover a young frightened girl, Tilly (Nicole Viera).
Back at the station, Leon takes care of Tilly who tells the PC that she was playing hide and seek with her mum, Angie Rogers (Alice Coulthard). Angie eventually returns to the house to collect her daughter, but is quickly arrested. In custody, Leon can see how distressed Angie is and allows her to talk to Tilly, infuriating Rachel. As the investigation develops, Rachel is stunned to learn that Tilly's father, the seemingly respectable Phil Downes (Grant Burgin), is the main drug supplier to the crack den.
Rachel and Leon later interview Angie who confesses that she is being blackmailed by her ex, and if she doesn't deliver drugs for him, she doesn't get to see Tilly. Rachel assures Angie that if she helps the police catch Phil in the act, they will help her get custody of Tilly. Angie agrees and a sting is arranged.
At the crack factory, the raid goes ahead and amid the confusion, Leon chases after Angie in the pretence of arresting her. He discovers her at the fire escape with Tilly where she admits she's planning to take her daughter away and start a new life. Begging Leon to let her go, he relents and tells her to run, but realises he may have made a huge mistake when he turns to see that Rachel has witnessed the exchange

Inspector Rachel Weston (Claire Goose) pairs up with PC Leon Taylor (Dominic Power) to attend a shout at a drugs hot spot. After making the arrests, they jump back into the patrol car and are horrified to see Clinton Andrews (Anwar Lynch) collapse on the bonnet, smearing blood over the window. Running to his aid, they realise he has been stabbed and have him sent to St Hugh's.
Back at the station, the investigation becomes priority and leads PC Will Fletcher (Gary Lucy) to brothers Marcus (James Buckley) and Danny Stepney (Rory Jennings). Both deny knowing Clinton but Danny eventually admits that he'd gone to meet Clinton to buy drugs from him and found him already stabbed. The case takes another twist when Marcus later admits to the stabbing, telling the officers that he was trying to protect his brother from drugs and that Danny is lying.
Elsewhere, Leon attends a break-in where Kim Perry (Nicola Cowper) insists she doesn’t want to press charges and clearly wants rid of the officers. She tells them that she was mugged at knifepoint a few months earlier and the police didn't help her then so why would they help now?
Determined to help Kim, Leon begins his own investigation, defying his frustrated Inspector. However, Rachel and Leon interview Kim together and are surprised to learn that Kim is Marcus's and Danny's mother. Passing the information onto Will, who is keen to impress DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel), he talks to Kim and gets a very surprising result. Impressed with his day's work, Neil invites Will into his office at the end of the day and makes him a very interesting offer.
So new cast member Rachel gets Gina's Job. I was sure it would have went to Beth Green. Im so disappointed.:lol:
Actually I think Smithy would be a fantastic inspector.:confused:
