It's Dixie's first day back at work and it seems to be a quiet day, as the medical drama continues. She says she is okay and is clearly trying to act normally, but Jeff isn't convinced. She is still quiet and withdrawn, yet is also taking risks in the ambulance – driving too fast and taking shortcuts.

As her day reaches a violent climax on the Farmead Estate, Dixie realises the truth she has been holding back. She tracks down Ben, the counsellor, at home, and starts to unravel events. The truth has been haunting her ever since the accident – her guilt has become an unbearable burden and she blames herself.

Zoe, meanwhile, has been given the news she feared – she is infertile. Having been in a foul mood all day, snapping at her patients, and clearly hung-over, she heads straight to a bar with Adam to get drunk. When Adam goes home early, things get progressively worse and Zoe ends up back at the hospital with alcohol poisoning, having fallen and hit her head on a toilet. Jessica covers for her in front of their colleagues, not allowing it to be known that Zoe, a doctor, has got herself into such a state. Instead, she tells them Zoe's drink had been spiked.

Elsewhere, Alice has been invited by Curtis to join him and Snezana on their paramedic shift. They are getting on well, and there's clearly a spark between them. When the shift ends in mayhem at the Farmead Estate, Alice is intrigued by Curtis and the way he successfully deals with the situation.

Dixie is played by Jane Hazlegrove, Jeff by Matt Bardock, Ben is played by Mark Letheren, Zoe by Sunetra Sarker, Adam by Tristan Gemmill, Jessica by Gillian Kearney, Alice by Sam Grey, Curtis by Abdul Salis and Snezana by Ivana Basic.

I saw the clip of Zoe falling over the toilet door. Her and Dixie are not having a good time.
