Coming soon
THE FAMILY – Channel 4 this autumn
Its make-up may have changed over the years, but most of us still return home to a family at the end of each day. It’s our refuge from the outside world, where we can most be ourselves. Perhaps more than any other it's the institution that tells us about how we live today.
New documentary series
Now a British family opens its doors to Channel 4 viewers in a major new observational documentary series. Family dynamics are played out in front of the cameras to reveal an intimate portrait of family life in modern Britain.
The highs and the lows
Filmed around the clock over a four month period, The Family offers a fascinating insight into the highs and lows of family life, documenting the everyday dilemmas and decisions that will be recognisable to most families up and down the country. From teenagers testing the boundaries, to simply maintaining a happy married life, cameras follow the family as they cope with everything that life throws at them.
