View Full Version : Dido Finally Makes Her Return!
Dido is to return with her third studio album in the autumn, her label has confirmed.
The Brit Award-winning singer will release Safe Trip Home, her follow-up to 2003's Life For Rent collection, on November 3.
The album features a collaboration with Brian Eno and has been produced by Dido, her brother Rollo Armstrong and Jon Brion.
'Look No Further', a track from the album, is currently available as a free download from the singer's official website. Safe Trip Home will also be preceded by a single, 'Don't Believe In Love', to be released in both physical and digital formats.
Dido's first two albums, 1999's No Angel and 2003's Life For Rent, have sold nearly 22m copies worldwide.
A long time coming! Dido is a gem! Can't wait to see her return to form! :cheer:

White Flag was my favourite song of 2003
a lot of people hate her and think shes boring but i love her for some reason
she's just got such a peaceful voice, it's like the voice of an angel. her songs are so emotional.

Im disappointed to be honest, its nice enough but i expected a lot better :( its too bland
tbf most of her music is like that
don't get me wrong i love her music for being like that, but it's never full of energy or anything
saying that, it does lack some of that umph and emotion that she usually puts into her songs

White Flag was kinda "lively" (ish) I was hoping for something like that.
I fail to believe this is the best she could come up with in a 5 year gap :thumbsdow

her single has made a pitiful #54 in the charts, only herself and the record company to blame. her last comeback song 'White Flag' made number 2 :(

Dido has been criticised for including controversial lyrics from a Republican protest song on her new album.
The singer used lines from 'The Men Behind The Wire', a tribute to the provisional IRA men interned in the Seventies, on her song 'Let's Do The Things We Normally Do'.
The rebel song, penned by Paddy McGuigan of the infamous Falls Road folk band Barleycorn in Belfast, is now associated with extreme republican movements such as the Real IRA and Continuity IRA.
Lyrics from the song include: "Armoured cars and tanks and guns, Came to take away our sons, But every man must stand behind, The men behind the wire."
Gregory Campbell, MP for East Londonderry, expressed his disappointment to the Daily Mail: "Given her Irish roots, it is inconceivable that she doesn’t know the background of the wording
"She must know it was written about people who were murderers, arsonists and terrorists.
"She should clarify her position so that her fans and the wider public knows where she stands on these things."
Dido released her latest album Safe Trip Home on November 17.
