View Full Version : Jade Goody To Enter Indian Big Brother House!
Jade Goody will enter the Indian Big Brother house, reports The Sun.
The reality TV star, who was accused of bullying and making racist remarks to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in last year's Celebrity Big Brother, has flown out to Mumbai to prepare for a stint on Big Boss.
A source revealed: "Jade wasn't sure when she was first approached because she was worried about how the Indian housemates and public might react.
"She was really upset about everything that happened after the scandal last year. People in India were burning effigies of her in the street.
"But she really wants to clear her name and prove to everyone that she's not a racist."
Goody will allegedly earn £100,000 for taking part in Big Boss.
What are everyone's thoughts on this?
hasnt she learned her lesson from the last time???
Hopefully she'll keep her mouth shut this time or atleast thinks before she speaks.

Are they really short of celebrities that they have to let her take part. I thought she was ill last week.
I can't believe they're actually letting her in after what she did in the Celebrity version! A leopard never changes its spots as they say. Can't believe she gets £100,000 for doing it either; if she's desperate to prove she's not racist then surely she'd be desperate for the chance to get in there, not be reluctant at first. Your problems don't get any better if you run away from them.

Jade Goody is going to have a real hard time keeping her mouth in check,, she will not last long. They also may turn the tables on her too :searchme: Then she will be getting what is coming to her:rolleyes:
She was approached, I can understand why she'd be reluctant at first, yet she wouldn't be able to win either way really would she - if she said no it would be because she most definitely "must" be a racist, but if she says yes like she has, she gets the backlash for a) the payment and b) for doing it and "trying" to be a z-lister again.
What a "lovely" world we seem to live in - one which I'm not sure if its one that I'm pleased to be bringing up my children in. One full of venom, where you get one chance in life and if you mess it up, thats it - game over

i get what your saying ems but going into our celeb big brother was the worst thing she has ever done why put yourself through it. Even if she was to get on great in this house its still not going to erase whats happened in the past.

It was the worst thing she's ever done, it won't ever be erased as whats happened, happened, BUT which ever way she did it with regards to this Big Bro (which I didn't even realise was had over there lol) she was going to be in the wrong.
If she was just left to get on with life, instead of the media constantly dragging her name up, we could all live a quiet life without her in it, including herself. I know this Big Brother invite hasn't helped, but I think thats more to do with the people over there than over here - after all, we don't get it shown here do we? So it isn't going to affect us. If Shilpa Shetty can say that she was a bully, but not a racist, then why can't anyone else?

I agree with everything you are saying jojo, apart from the last part. The media aren't dragging her name up - She is doing that. She doesn't have a career - Her job is in the media, doing interviews, reality TV, and things like this. She doesn't want a quiet life, otherwise she would just go and get a job.
She can't have it both ways. If she wants to be a "celeb", then she has to accept the inevitable backlash. Otherwise, she should get a job.

BIG Brother legend Jade Goody has cervical cancer, it was revealed last night.
The reality TV star, 27, received the bombshell news as she was appearing in the Indian version of the Channel 4 show.
Mum-of-two Jade who shot to fame in BB3, was said to be devastated after hearing tests proved positive for the disease.
She was called into the Diary Room and told of the findings by her consultant.
Jade then ran out in hysterics and made a tearful announcement to her housemates that she had cancer.
She was immediately withdrawn from the show and was being flown home for treatment last night.
The star had undergone hospital tests earlier this month after her third cancer scare.
It followed four mystery collapses.
But she decided to go into the Indian programme, called Bigg Boss, to try to make amends for the race storm during last year’s Celebrity Big Brother.
It is being hosted by Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, 33, who was allegedly racially abused by Jade in the 2007 series.
A close friend said last night: “She was called into the Diary Room and spoke to her agent, then her consultant in the UK.
“She burst into tears and ran out and said to her housemates, ‘I have cancer’.
“Jade was then led out of the house and she is coming back to England to see another consultant.”
Jade’s spokesman said: “She went for tests and results have come back and she has cancer.”
There was mystery last night over whether the footage would be screened.
Jade, from Upshire, Essex, was previously tested for bowel cancer in 2006 and ovarian cancer in 2004, but was given the all-clear both times.

Reality TV star Jade Goody has been diagnosed with cervical cancer, her publicist has confirmed.
The 27-year-old was told whilst appearing on the Indian version of Big Brother, known as Bigg Boss.
Max Clifford told BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat Goody was "extremely upset and frightened and will be back as soon as they can get her on a plane".
Show producers confirmed Goody had left the house for "medical reasons". She is due to arrive back in the UK later.
"Jade had some tests recently, then she went off to India to appear in the Indian Big Brother," Mr Clifford said.
"Yesterday we got a call from her consultant to say she had cancer of the cervix and so she has to come back straight away."
'Shocked'
He added: "We put the consultant in touch with the programme maker in India and because of the circumstances was allowed to speak to her and explain the results of her tests."
When asked if the result was a positive smear test or a confirmed diagnosis of cancer, Mr Clifford said: "No, it is cancer."
"The important thing is to get her back as soon as possible and get this treated.
"Obviously there were some problems - that's why she had tests. But she had no idea that would be the diagnosis - she was shocked."
Racism accusation
Goody had undergone tests earlier this month after collapsing and losing blood at her Essex home.
But she had decided to appear in Bigg Boss to make amends after being accused of racism towards Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK.
According to The Sun newspaper, scenes showing Goody being told of her diagnosis were not broadcast at the time and will not be shown in India.
Cervical cancer develops from cells lining the neck of the womb.
It is the second most common cancer in women under the age of 35 in the UK. There are around 2,700 new cases each year.
I hope that she makes a fast, full and private recovery.
i'm not a believer in karma but it's a little bit strange isn't it, what goes around comes around
saying that though i hope she gets better soon, for the sake of herself and her poor little children
apparently she has givenher consent for the footage from big boss to be shown!!!
I hope she makes a full recovery but couldnt she have just kept that private????

Sorry Bry, but that is bang out of order IMO.
Are you saying she deserves cancer? Does everyone who contracts cancer, deserve it also? Does my friend who is fighting a losing battle against her third bout of breast cancer, unsuccessfully, at 40, deserve it? Do her children deserve to see her go through this?! NO!
I don't care who it is - no one deserves cancer and anyone who has lost a family member or friend through this awful disease, would know that too (which I thought you did understand).
She could have a very long, lengthy battle on her hands now, and I know you said you hope she gets better soon, but I still think your previous line wasn't warranted.
I hope she responds to any treatment well, and is given the chance by the media and the British public to recover fully.

i'm not saying i agree with karma, nor that she deserves it, i'm just saying it's funny how someone who did bad gets something bad happen to her in return, not that i agree with it
of course cancer is a terrible illness, i've lost three family members too it, have had another two fighting it, and one still fighting it, so i'm not saying anyone deserves it at all, you've taken my point complelty the wrong way, it's not what i was saying
i personally wouldn't wish the disease on anyone, becuase i believe everyone should be given a second chance, but there are believers of karma and higher beings punishing sinners, all i was saying is how some people could see Jade getting cancer as an example of this!

I hope Jade makes a full and speedy recovery. Despite of her behaviour in CBB and her constant media grabbing attention cancer is a terrible disease for anyone to suffer. What I can't understand is we knew she was ill before she went to India and was having test, why on earth did doctors and her agent let her think about taking part in the Big Brother show.
That's what I want to know. Surely they'd advise her to try and keep her mind off of the results, but I think going to India would be a bit extreme. Unless they thought as she'd already been tested twice in the past and been given the all clear there was a pretty good chance of it happening again, and that she could always be flown back quickly if needs be. My mum thinks it's been invented as a way to get her out quickly, as she would have been seen as racist if she didn't go into the house after being approached.
I hope she gets better soon for the kids' sakes above all else; the oldest can't be more than 5.

i guess she wanted to take her mind of things, maybe she thought she had to do this to make things right or maybe noone realised it could actually be anything serious? who knows but i guess this is her job and she wanted to do it. Ive read so many vile things today about it being funny how it has happened while in bb and its for publicity but surely even jade wouldnt sink that low???
She has had hese collapses for years, i rememer her in the channel 5 show and she collapsed then and was taken off to hospital and so many times she has been in and out, maybe she just thought oh well it has happened before ill be fine :searchme:
must have been very hard to have found out over there away from friends and family heres hoping she on her way back to her boys and family and gets all the treatment she needs

.
a lot of people seem to think that but there would be other things she could have 'invented' to get herself out of the house, to invent cancer would be the lowest of the low and although jade has her faults even i dont think shed agree to that

According to the papers, she's had ongoing problems and health scares...I think its very sick if this has been invented to get her out of a tight spot, but I think its true....I do hope she recovers for the sake of her children, but as someone mentioned before...in private and not via the cover of Heat/ magazines - if she did keep out the of limelight, then I think people might have more sympathy and respect for her...

No I don't think she would either. The public have a negative enough view of her as it is, without something like that being made up. She'd certainly never redeem herself if she went along with something like that, while she's trying to prove she's not racist by going into the Indian Big Brother house.
ade Goody's spokesman has rubbished claims that the star is exploiting her cancer diagnosis.
The reality TV star was taking part in the Indian version of Big Brother when she was told the news. She had joined the TV house in an attempt to make amends for her part in the Celebrity Big Brother race row.
Cynics have already suggested that all is not what it seems, however. Some critics have claimed that the extent of Goody's illness is being exaggerated in order to garner sympathy for the controversial star. Others have asked why she decided to join the show when she was awaiting the results of medical tests she had undergone earlier this month.
Spokesman Max Clifford told Metro Online: "Those people are very sad people. This girl has cancer. Full stop. That is exactly what it is, it is not pre-cancer, it is cancer in the neck of the womb."
He added: "I hope the people who doubt her never have to hear the news themselves one day. She had no idea. She went for a few regular tests and wouldn't have gone on it at all if she had known."
Goody announced that she wanted the Indian public to see a new side of her character as she entered the house at the weekend. She had previously provoked outrage in the country by describing Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty as "Shilpa Poppadom" and "Shilpa *******awallah" when they shared the Celebrity Big Brother house together in 2007.
I think cervical cancer is usually picked up by a smear. Unless she had a previous smear that showed up pre-cancerous cells then I don't think there would be any real need to wait for the results :hmm:
I highly doubt that this has been made up as a publicity stunt.

I really hope Jade gets well soon and I hope the media gives her the chance to deal with her cancer in peace.
Snip....

Changes in the cells are picked up by a smear test, not cancer itself. Apart from that, you only get a smear test routinely done, once you are over the age of 25 and every three years (for under 60's, then every 5 years).
If Jade had a smear done 2 years ago - a lot can happen in this time, which could cause the reasons why having to wait for results. In any case, if there are concerns, further tests are always carried out prior to a diagnosis.
I have a friend, who had normal smear test results etc, and then prior to her next routine smear, had health problems, went for tests and ended up having a full hysterectomy due to cancer. It can and does happen.
This is why every woman should always go for their smear test.

Jade Goody broke down in tears after her doctor warned that she could have less than ten years to live, according to a report.
The reality TV star was informed about the worst possible outcome of her cancer battle in a briefing with her doctor earlier this week.
Goody was diagnosed with cancer of the womb while she was taking part in the Indian version of Big Brother last month. She will now require a hysterectomy and chemotherapy treatment.
Though Jade's form of cancer has a 90% cure rate, there is a chance that it could spread through the tissue around the cervix or the lymphatic system.
According to The Mirror, the mother-of-two sobbed as she shared her latest news with a friend following the appointment with her doctor.
"They told me about the worst-case scenario - where I might not even survive ten years," Goody told the pal. "I'm all over the place. I can't stop crying."
She added: "It was even worse than I was expecting. But I know I have to get through this. I have now had to give up any hope of having children, but I am already thinking about adopting."
Goody was dealt a new blow at the beginning of the week when her on-off boyfriend Jack Tweed was jailed for 18 months
