Wednesday, 27 August 2008,
A drunk, stunned PC Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) sits in her crushed car and goes into shock as she realises she has hit another car and sees assumed driver, Miranda Roscoe (Naomi Battrick), lying motionless on the road. PC Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour), hearing the sickening thud of the collision, rushes to the scene and is stunned to see Sally at the wheel.
Ben calls the paramedics and gives Sally the false name of Julia Jacobs before calling Sergeant Stone (Sam Callis) to tell him what has happened. At the hospital, Miranda’s mother, Maggie (Victoria Alcock) arrives and tells Stone and PC Millie Brown (Clare Foster) that her daughter couldn’t have been driving as she’s only fifteen…
Back at the station, Sergeant Smith (Alex Walkinshaw) and P.C. Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) become suspicious when they find no trace of a Julia Jacobs in Sun Hill and realise the description given of the driver and her friend sounds like Sally and Ben. At Stone’s flat, Sally remains distraught at the events unfolding and ignores calls from Smithy, knowing her career is in jeopardy, while Ben attempts to comfort her.
Sally eventually recalls that she kissed Damian Girton (Ian Virgo) before driving away. Stone visits Damian, who tells the Sergeant that he saw Sally getting in the car, knowing she was drunk. Stone, spying Damian’s wedding photograph, persuades him it would be in his best interests to play dumb when the police question him.
As evidence continues to mount against Sally and more suspicions are raised as to her whereabouts the night before, the PC enters Sun Hill in the hope that she can explain a few things.
Lets hope that this is not going to be a repeat of the CRAP that was Gabriel K*nt, with all its crazy storylines and cover-ups. Things are bad enough with Kiddiecop, lets not have any more unbelievable characters PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Thursday, 28 August 2008,
Sergeant Rachel Weston (Claire Goose) and PC Roger Valentine (John Bowler) are called to a disturbance and are shocked to find Gavin Henshaw (Chris Corrigan) beaten unconscious and tied to a chair. Working together, Rachel performs CPR on Gavin, ultimately saving his life.
Later, the sergeant meets DC Grace Dasari (Amita Dhiri) in the hospital where they attempt to question Gavin, but his broken jaw renders him silent. The officers try to persuade him to write his statement, but Gavin refuses. As the investigation continues, Grace is paired up with Trainee DC Kezia Walker (Cat Simmons) to visit Jay Newman (Stefan Butler), who they discover was in Gavin’s house at the time of his beating.
Jay admits that he had gone to Gavin’s to buy drugs but doesn’t want his parents to know as he is attempting to rehabilitate himself. He swears he left as soon as he was given the drugs, but the officers are certain he is hiding something from them.
Later, Jay’s mother visits Grace and Kezia at the station and is forced to admit that she and her family are in witness protection, after Jay gave evidence in a murder trial. The Newmans’ handler, DS Elizabeth Marsh (Jackie Clune), is introduced to Grace and Kezia by DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) and fills them in on Jay’s former trial.
Later, Grace’s hard line in questioning leads Jay to finally confess that he saw local hard-man, Les Cooper (James Clyde) beating Gavin up. Grace is pleased with the result, but frustrated when Elizabeth tells her she doesn’t want Jay’s identity exposed so she will have to find another way to get Les.
Later, Elizabeth explains to Grace that a threat to the Newman family has been reported and Sun Hill officers are horrified when they are called to a crime scene and discover Jay’s body.
