What are your favourite shops for clothes?

For me I spend half my life in Topman. Also get a lot from River Island, Urban Outfitters, Cult and H&M!!!

Cheap but I love Pennys (UK Primark).. especially for the kids who grow out of stuff so quick

Miss Selfridge is great cause I am not the tallest person in the world and they have a lovely petite section same for Dorothy Perkins

i'm getting really bad, everytime i go into town i HAVE to buy something from Topman, even though I dont need any new clothes, it's becoming a compulsion! I love the bags they give you in there as they're always paper ones now, white with black writing, got a little collection of them bags at home now! :D

yeah i'm the same, then i feel sick thinking how much money i've wasted! the thing is i've got so many clothes now, it should really just be a case of acesscorising, but I cant be doing with that! really should try though as it could save me a hell of a lot of money!!!

My niece is like the both of you.. buys stuff for the sake of it or cause it looked nice in the shop (she goes to all the big names stores) but I get the benefits cause we are the same size so I get lovely clothes for nothing..

Topman is usually where I go and also Topshop. I don't really go clothes shopping much, my mum is trying to get me in the habit of buying my own clothes though - she took me to my local shopping centre the other month to try and get me in the mood to go clothes shopping - I should really start clothes shopping but my mum has the right style and kinda knows the trendy shops to go too.

Being an elderly 43, I mainly shop in M&S (principally the per una range).

There is a McArthurGlen discount place near me, and I shop in there all the time (M&S is in there, too).

Why don't you try eBay, I had some lovely new stuff from there for little money :)

GossipGirl
12-09-2009, 17:47
I might try there just I want a shop where I can go and try them on as I have trouble finding jeans that properly fit me due to my small size

Abigail
12-09-2009, 17:47
Yes, eBay is good if you don't have a lot to spend.

I got a really comfy pair from Republic, they were on the expensive side though. I usually buy my jeans from Dorothy Perkins as they don't use Lycra in most of theirs. I hate it when jeans stretch.

If you can afford a bit more, try Levis. A style for every shape but can get expensive depending on what you want. The outlet stores are often cheaper and stock the same things.

Hannelene
12-09-2009, 19:32
Republic are good for jeans but I also like Levi's when I have the money to buy a proper pair of jeans. Lycra in jeans is not good especially when they have been washed :(

Could it of been mispriced? as I have been in that shop with £20 bought loads of items and come out with change more then expected. Sometimes I think they haven't scanned in the items properly and walk slowly out of the shop incase the alarms go off!

Luna
12-09-2009, 19:53
all the items where the same though

pumps £6 - £2
Scarf £3 - £1
Ring £2 - £1

Maybe there was something wrong with the tills lol

Abigail
12-09-2009, 20:02
