Premonitions

i watched the film "premonition" last week and in the special features it had people who said they have real life premonitions and can see the future etc. and it got me thinking, does anyone here believe in premonitions? have you ever experienced one yourself or know of someone who has?

Yep.

I dream about stuff happening all the time then it does. A friend of mine Becca has the same thing. It'll be like really minor stuff, like once (I know this sounds really stupid) I dreamt that someone had forgotten their socks for pe and got a huge telling off from our teacher, so I took a spare pair in and sure enough someone had forgotten them, she told the teacher and got an afterschool detention and a telling off so I lent her my spare ones. Maybe it was a coincidence but other stuff like that has happened before.

I had a strange feeling about my uncle once and asked my mum to call him and sure enough, he had falling down a set of steps and broke his ankle... I didn't see anything but just had a feeling he was hurt in some way (he lived in Bradford at the time)

Although my mum's boss had a similar thing. The receptionist ( she works at a children's centre) there and one of my mu's best friends Sarah had been diagnosed with breast cancer at 24 but got the all clear then it came back more aggressive just before she turned thirty and had all other kinds of cancer with it too, anyways, she'd been off work for sometime and this one morning my mum's boss said that she had woken up fine, but at about 8:30 felt really like depressed and wanting to cry. So she went into work and asked Johanna, the other receptionist who also is Sarah's closest friend to ring up and see if sarah was ok. Unfortunatley Sarah's dad answered and said that Sarah had passed away at 8:21.

It's weird how it works.

I believe in premonitions and all that sort of stuff

I sometimes have like dreams that happen too... but not very often. I usually jsut get weird feelings about stuff when I smell things... it's odd
I knew my Mum was pregnant before she did (when she was pregnant with my brother so I was about 8)
I jsut woke up one morning and it was like... the smell of baby in the house so I went to my neighbours and told them my Mum was having a baby and they all congratulated her and she was like... what are you all on about?
Anyways in the evening she sat me down and said she'd been to the Doctors after I'd told everyone and that she was having a baby... but I was only 8 so I probably did know but she didn't want anyone to know.. I don't know lol

I get it from my Nan though definately!
She's forever telling me stories about her little psychic abilities!
She had a dream once when she was younger that she was sat on a wall down by her house and a police car drove up her road and they just looked at her and then it was a few days after her dream that she was sat on this wall with friends and the police car drove up her ropad and she jsut said to her friends "I ahve to go in somethings wrong.. somethings happened"
Turned out that when she got in that her brother had died falling off his bike.

I have many stories about all that stuff with my Nan but that one was long enough so I'll leave it at that :)

wow some of those are spooky!

ive had small things, like one time i was writing something in biology and i thought id seen that exact same page of writing before and i knew what was gonna be written next even though i had no idea what the teacher was going on about! i think i must have dreamt it or something but i dont really remember! ive had a few other things like that, but nothing serious!

For me it is my Mum.. she is a bit spooky at times and have forseen 3 deaths in her family, long details but she freaks me out sometimes.. maybe I get it from her too..

I havent had any but my friend, whos mum died, well a few hours before it happened she said she couldnt sleep and had a 'feeling' and it turned about her gran, her mums mum was up and had a bad feeling too

on the extra footage, as well as showing people who have had premonitions, ie where you subconciously see the future/have a feeling about the future, there was this man who could conciously see what he wanted to about the future, ie if someone asked him about something he could tell them. i was a bit doubtful about this, but they asked him to draw a picture of the photo the computer was going to randomly select and what he drew was pretty accurate, im really not sure how he did it lol!

i have them all the time, little things and big things. I have been taken to places that i have never been before and been able to describe what is around the corner/on the other side etc before we get there.

i have dreamt of names on gravestones then been to look and they are there.

My best one was that i dreamt me and another person at work were going to get a 2k payrise each and we did a week later!!!

Of course i dream the horrible stuff as well....people who are ill/dying and i even told my friend 3 weeks before the tsunami happened that xmas....i dreamt of that 3 times. the thing is when you are dreaming it you really feel as if you are there and it's horrible!!

i am having lessons now to "develop my skills"!!

I dreamnt on Sunday or Monday that Rachel and Stu were up for evicion on BB and that Rachel was evicted.. hopefully I'm not right on who goes!

sorry to bring this one up again but i was watching premonition on sky last night and went to bed before it finished. I was wayyy confused by it all but i think I kinda understand it. I was just wondering can anyone tell me whether Jim does actually die? I got up to the part where she started making that chart.

I believe in premonitions. I get feelings sometimes that something good or bad will happen.
