Mac Photo Editing Software

I want to buy a photo editing program for my Mac (notebook). I have GIMP which is free but there's only so much I can do with that. I'd be willing to pay...preferably £30 under. Might..stretch to £40 if it was a good programme.

The only two programs that I know are good are photoshop and paint shop pro, but because they are well known they are quite expensive...

Anyone know of anything similar to those that are quite good/easy to use?

I have adobe photoshop, and paint shop pro, and they are both really good but if you are going to go for any of them 2 go for photoshop as in my oppionion it is better

also have a look on ebay as they sometimes have programmes for cheaper, ive never bought them though so dont know if they work lol
