Today's questions are as follows:
1. Four friends have been invited to a birthday party. Using the clues below, can you determine which friend brought which present and in what colour paper it was wrapped?
Friends: Allison, Betty, Christine, Diana
Presents: stationery, a CD, a book, a necklace
Colours of wrapping paper: red, yellow, green, blue
Clues:
1. Betty doesn't like to read and therefore doesn't buy books. She knew that the birthday girl's favorite colour was red, so she chose that colour to wrap her gift.
2. When the girl who bought the CD went to the store to buy wrapping paper, the only colour they had was green.
3. The people invited to the party were Christine, the girl who brought the present that was wrapped in yellow, the girl who bought the necklace, and the girl who used green paper.
4. Diana knew that the birthday girl had family who lived out of town. She bought stationery so that her friend could keep in touch with them.
2. How can you leave a place by closing a window?
3. It was a very windy day. On a narrow but busy country road, the wind blew over 3 trucks. However, this had no effect on the rest of the traffic in either direction. Even if the trucks had been blown to the side of the road, it would still not have caused delays with recovery. Why were there no effects on the traffic?
These sound tricky. I hate questions like #1. I'll have a go later.
I hate these puzzles.. too complicated.. tried 1 about 4 times already and my head hurt so no even trying the rest.. here is my solution to one
Allison, CD, green paper.
Betty , necklace, red paper.
Christine, book, blue paper.
Diana, stationery, yellow paper
Sorry you don't like them, I thought as it is a weekend, I give you something to think about. Won't do it again
