i heard on the radio this morning that 3% of people in the UK only use their mobiles for making and receiving phone calls, they dont text, they dont use any of the other features on their phones. just wondered if anyone on here only uses their mobiles for phone calls or do you at least use them to text as well

I hate ringing people. I don't know why, I mean I don't have much confidence and so I get nervous when talking to people face to face so you'd think I'd be better with phone calls but no!

I mainly use my phone for texting and sending videos. Occasionally I will ring someone or go on the internet.

my dad is in that 3% then! only uses it when he needs to make a call and thats it. doesnt use a mobile for anything else!

I don't really make or recieve calls. On the odd occasion I recieve them.
I use my phone to text (too much), take pictures, mp3 and the radio.

I also use the alarm clock, calculater and unit converter a lot

I use it mainly for texting and taking photo's as making a phone call can be expensive. The only time I phone someone from my mobile is I'm out of the house or if its an emergency.

I just use it for texts mainly and calls occasionally. One month I used 11 minutes of call time when I have 100. How much am I kicking myself for getting a contract now though :lol: Stuck with it for another 5 months :rolleyes:

I rarely call anyone... only if I'm in a rush. I use it mainly for texting, videos, pictures, calculator and calendar.

as most other people have said, i rarely make phone calls using my phone, 1) cos it costs too much, and 2) cos i find it so much easier to text. i also use my phone for taking pictures, listening to music, use the calculator and calendar and the alarm clock, and i sometimes play games on it but only when im really bored somewhere. the funny thing was i was listening to the radio on my phone when i heard this cos our radios broken!

my mum only uses her phone to phone and text people. it was a really cheap one that you cant do anything else with anyway. my dad barely uses his phone at all

I use mine mainly for texting not very often i will use it for calls use the house phone (to a house phone) its cheaper...

I use mine to receive calls mainly when I am out of the office and the occasional text message. The camera is only for the event of having a car accident and I would not know what to do with the rest of the facilities. Sad, I know. :(
