Right the husband of the missing girl kidnapped her because his foster mum died of cancer and thought the alcoholic mother could have found it sooner if she hadn't of been drinking but then the two fell in love and ran away together but although they did try and get the ransom money they didn't pick it up. The bent copper the alcoholic mother had an affair with stole it instead

The knew they had to charge her husband but in the end Sandra fixed the mother's statement with her permission so that no charges could be brought against him
