James Denton has revealed that he will return for the next season of Desperate Housewives.

The actor confirmed to People that his character Mike Delfino has parted from Wisteria Lane wife Susan (Teri Hatcher): "Mike and Susan have definitely split up."

The 45-year-old also admitted that Housewives creator Marc Cherry had been reluctant to tell him how his character would feature in season five.

"I'm not sure exactly in what capacity [I'll be back]," he said. "Marc Cherry is being a little cagey. It's going to be interesting to see what happens. But I will certainly be on the show. It's a relief to me, trust me."

New cast additions for Desperate Housewives season five include Chris Carmack and Neal McDonough.

Four new cast additions have been announced for the fifth season of Desperate Housewives.

The next run will begin five years after the events of the previous season, meaning the four children of Tom and Lynette Scavo (Doug Savant and Felicity Huffman) have been recast.

Now teenagers, eldest son Parker and twins Porter and Preston will be played by Joshua Moore and Charles and Max Carver.

Kendall Applegate has been cast as Scavo daughter Penny, the youngest in the family aged about eight.

Missed this message when I posted on other thread - I think the twins look older than the supposed eldest child. Also, I didn't think the twins were 11 in previous series?- 7 or 8 at the most.

according to wiksteria lane it says they were 15 at the end of episode 4.17 - im assuming they mean after it said five years later.

Doesnt explain the ability to hold a driving license though :hmm:

Some States let you get a driving permit a 14, although in others it is 15 so this is quite legit.

chris carmack is coming back, wasnt he susans cousin tim who had a fling with katherine when he was younger- wonder why he is coming back for series 5
