BAGS of drama at the Queen Vic as Bianca gives Dawn Swann a right mouthful.
Bianca (Patsy Palmer) is quids in after cheeky step-daughter Whitney nicks the Millers’ winning lotto ticket.
It all kicks off when Dawn (Kara Tointon) finds out.
She launches herself at Bianca and grabs her handbag, watched by Pat (Pam St Clement).
An insider said: “Bianca lets go of the bag and tells a shocked Dawn she can have the money as she obviously needs it.
“Dawn replies that Bianca is needier than her and Bianca gets to keep the cash.”
Catch the action on BBC1 next Monday.

I don't think it was ever mentioned, only that they got 5 numbers right. The amount of money won would depend on how many other winners were that day.

emmm seems a bit odd. good storyline though, makes a change from sean beating ppl though.

Darren guessed that it might be £20,000 when he found that Keith lost the ticket, so he could work out how many hours Keith would have to work in order to get back the money that he'd lost them.
Maybe Whitney got an older friend to claim, then gave them a bit for doing it... to make a claim that big I think they need ID and you to claim in person so she can't just have passed for 16.

Five numbers is normally worth just over £1,000.
Last Saturday's was exceptionally good as it was £2,039.
It would NEVER be any thing like £20,000
But in soapland these little details don't always matter, do they? Perhaps they had an exceptionnally good day at the lottery :lol:

since Whitney is so street wise, i am sure she managed to get a fake ID some where to cash it in. Shes been known to steal things before, so why is it any different now with the Lottery ticket..:searchme:

I can't believe Dawn lets her keep the cash thats sending Whitney the wrong message.
They should just split the money, if Dawn is so insistant.
Well, she has Jase now to keep her in the style she has become accustomed to, hasn't she? :lol: Bianca needs it more than she does.

yeh maybe she got someone older to cash it. im sure they would probably only except something like a passport/driving license as id, most places dont except anything else now

you dont need id for small amounts, i think anything over £1000 you need id for

also, another thing, prizes over £500 are paid in a cheque not cash so why would whitney have £5000 in cash in her gym bag?

Hmmmmm in the USA all kids whose parents are getting social service aid are required to have all sorts of ID,, and the parents are required to produce it for whatever reason ..I presume it is the same in the UK ? So I am guessing that Whitney may have a passport and knew some one who could make a copy but with a different DOB ?? dunno if Whitney is that creative or if EE writers are LOL:lol:

Perhaps this is one of those details that ever so often strays from reality in a soap, quite often we have commented on here on a particular happening in a soap as not being truthful to life. :hmm:

yeh thats what i said afterwards in another post a bit further up :) they only pay in cash up to £500 i think it is, and it must have been more than that if she paid for fargos, bought morgan that toy, bought the tv and still has loads left!

An Eastenders spokesperson says, 'Although never shown [on screen], Whitney's friend, Ebony, who is 16, collected the money in return for a cut of the winnings. Whitney has never revealed this to Bianca, but often refers to Ebony'.

Covering up for lack of research :rolleyes: I'm sure Bianca would have asked in reality how Whitney had cashed in the lottery ticket had someone not forgotten to research lottery rules. She was going on about how whatever Whitney did can't have been legal, and it isn't legal for a 15 year old to cash in a lottery ticket.
Next thing Whitney does with the money - she gets a post mortem on Wellard this week. Emma Barton was so right about her being upstaged by a dog.
