in OTHER news, i saw Diana in a taxi on my street the other day! i did a total double take, it was so embarassing, but she smiled at me bless her.

My opinions on tonight's performances:

Scott - A good performance, I thought. This guy is soo underrated if you ask me. 7/10

Daniel - It was cheesy. I can't see him improving at all. An amateur performance in my opinion, but still, it was a good vocal so 6/10

Laura - Fantastic. Loved her performance - her best so far. She has lots and lots to give 9/10

Eoghan - It was alright. I thought the performance itself was pretty good, but his voice is average.. 6/10

Ruth - I thought it was brilliant! She has such a good voice and I loved the set up 8/10

Alexandra - Her best performance so far. She does have a good voice and I loved her costume 8/10

Austin - I thought his performance was brilliant. Great stage presence, really got the audience going and a good vocal 9/10

JLS - I thought it was good.. they work well as a band. I think they can get better though 7/10

Diana - I love her voice. She made an old song so contemporary because of her style. She has a mesmerising presence and I do believe she has the X Factor 9/10

Rachel - Her best performance so far. She finally sang something that suits her and really shows off her talent 9/10

Loved Diana this week. She is very understated, which i like a lot. Laura did an amazing job too. JLS have improved a lot this week too.

i know, it was so frumpy! i didn't like her performance actually, it was a total rip-off from Beverley last year and not as good either.

Diana really does annoy me when she does the thingy with her hands.. I don't get it :/

I like Rachel but when she 'sings normally' it sounds like she is still shouting, I guess she's just got a powerful voice, that's all :)

Austin, something about him I just don't like but singing is alright.

Apart from that they are all pretty good, JLS still do it for me though :p

Thank you, i also dislike diana i am unsure why though just have never been able to take to her since she started, but everyone else seems to love her (the whole marmite concept)

My opinions on last night -

Boys

Austin - loved his performance, he's one of my favourites so i dont get why you all dont like him. i don't think he's any more "desperate" than the rest

Scott - his performance wasn't that great, but i felt he had another week left in him at least

Owen - I really liked his performance, one of the best of the night, glad he showed he doesn't just do ballads

Girls

Laura - I think she may peek too soon, she can't blow the judges away every week and if she does it's going to get boring. I think someone may snatch the winners crown off her near the end.

Diana - GO. Just GO. She is stressing me out with her little miss angelic act. Put some shoes on, chop off her hands and start acting like a normal 17 year old and i might grow to like her, only might though!

Alexandra - I think she's the one trying too hard if you ask me, as Simon says all her songs are just pale imitations. She's nothing new, every year there's a black girl with a fairly good voice trying to imitate the greats like Whitney & Mariah.

Groups

JLS - Big Band didn't suit them well, I thought they'd be in the bottom two. How annoying is the little one in the group, he's like a rotweiller.

Over 25s

Ruth - Loved her performance and glad she wasn't in the bottom two again. I just hope it was because of that phone line mix up that she was there last week.

Rachel - Good this week, I was starting to worry she'd have lacklustres performances all through the competion. She's going to have to have a few more good weeks before she becomes my favourite again.

Daniel - Useless. And does he have any shame? Using his dead wife to keep in the competition. Disgusting

I dont find Diana's hands annoying. Other singers punch the air and wave them around, she just holds them by her face. Its probably only nerves. They all have their little habits, hers are just the most obvious because of the close ups on the TV.

daniel... yes very very orange! bit too much on the spray tans me thinks!!! taking too much info from danni there! but he really should of went last night! louis only voted for him as he was close to bawling his eyes out! dont get me wrong i cried about his story when he 1st auditioned but i still thought he shouldnt go through to the final 12! his only there through sympathy and thats not right!

i acctually dont really like laura IMO she cant sing normally she can only belt songs out and it does my head when she adds on the do do do doo's onto songs!

i like alex tho and ruth was amazing when she sang purple rain if she sang like that every show she would prob win it and i prefer her singing in english... i understand what shes saying and dont have to wait for the chorus to realise what the song is! i didnt like her at all singing in spanish

This week I loved Rachel and Eoghan. Rachel nailed that song and it suited her voice down to the ground. Eoghan really performed on stage and everything about it was great except when he closes his eyes as though he's singing a powerful note but it actually isn't that powerful.

I don't know why Daniel is getting such a slating. I think he's got a good voice and although I don't think I'd buy his music, he deserves more credit than he's getting. His wife has hardly been mentioned at all during the live shows and certainly nowhere near as much as Niki's dad was last year. I thought it was a nice touch to dedicate the song to his wife and I don't think he did it to keep himself in - the judges aren't stupid and neither is he.

I like Diana, Laura, Alexandra and Ruth as well. Ruth was massively underrated in the earlier shows and with Purple Rain she showed she can handle a big song.

Overall, Big Band week was fantastic but the performances that stuck in my head were Eoghan and Rachel and Rachel's gave me goosebumps I thought it was so good.

I love Austin, he's an awesome singer and he is sooooo hot! Me and my mate were fighting over him last night haha.

Euoghan, Owen or whatever.. I think he's rubbish, he clearly can't sing that well. I really am hearing something different to everyone else :searchme:. He just whispers really, and it's really irritating.

I agree, I think Austin is a very good singer. So what if he's desperate to win, they ALL are! Also, I thought Rachel's performance was her best yet, I liked her "make over" :D Eogan was Okay, but not brilliant. He probably gets votes cos he looks cute :p I think Ruth is good but probably won't win. It was sad when Scott got voted out. I think Daniel should have gone home. IMO if it wasn't for his wife he wouldn't have got this far in the first place. However, I do agree that Scott and Daniel deserved to be in the bottom two. I'm afraid I'm in the camp that doesn't like Diana very much! BTW I hate marmite :D And I couldn't understand what Laura was singing either :(
