Okies . First off I had no idea where to put this so osrry if it's in the wrong place!
So. recently I've become really interested in piercings. Not like I want absolutely loads, but a couple. I already have 3 in each lobe, one is stretched to 4mm. (Only little really!) And a pinna. (<--The cartilage.)
Soo earlier this year my Mum said I could get a small stud in my nose. However my Dad doesn't like them. So I asked if I could get my tragus done and my Mum said no but my dad said just get it done and not tell her. Well I couldn't go behind my Mum's back so I just asked her again and said it would be much easier to hide at school than a gem in the middle of my face as we're only supposed to have one pair of studs in ear lobe! So she said I could, as long as I look after it.
So I'm off down Burnley on Sat to Skin Fantasy to get it done! It'll cost £20 as I want it done with a labret stud rather than a CBR which would only be £15, but bends the pierced bit slightly.
So anyway! I was just wondering do any of you guys have it done and if so did it hurt much? I have quite a high pain tolerance and the pain thing isn't really an issue, but just wanted to know!
Also what are your views on piercings?
Sorry it's such a long one!!
I have each ear lobe pierced once so I feel a bit of a hypocrit when I say to others: IF THE GOOD LORD WANTED US HUMANS TO HAVE PIERCINGS WE WOULD BE BORN PERFORATED. I was lucky that my ears did not become infected but I have seen some horrible sights from young people having their tummies or faces pierced and it became infected. One of my friend's daughters ended up in hospital with blood poisening for a few days but that is quite rare - just infections however can happen even if the person has looked after the piercing and has disinfected it frequently. Up to everybody themselves really whether to get it done or not but make sure the piercer is properly trained and that everything is sterile and that you get as much info as possible about risks beforehand. Sorry for the epic. :)

I don't have my tragus done, but I have a few mates that do, they said it didn't hurt.
Also, I don't mind piercings, but in moderation. I hate it when people have loads done all at once. Bit much I think.. like ears a million times, nose, eyebrow, lip (like 2), BACK OF THE NECK?!?!? What's that about!!! And I also hate stretched lobes (sorry :o). Some guy I know has HUGE one! Not sure on the mm. But it looks minging !!

Yeah I really don't like them mahussive, but ah well!
I don't like nape piercings. (the back of the neck) Plus piercings like that which are surface piercings do tend to reject or migrate. As do navel (not always but have heard of a few) , hip and wrist piercings.

I have mine done, I got my left tragus pierced after one of my exams 3 years ago. I have a low pain threshold and I have to admit it hardly hurt. It was over pretty quickly and stung for a good few hours afterwards and no blood. I have to admit it took months for it to completely heal, but after lots of TLC as you have to bath it daily with tea tree oil, I have a nice piercing.

Yes it can in the minority of people i.e. those who have a small tragus. They normally don't do it if that is the case.

Sorry it's a bit blurry!

It's pierced with a larger labret stud to allow for swelling.
& it has a pink gem in the middle of the ball :D
No pain whatsoever! (That may be due to the fact that she numbed it first! :P ) But a dull aching now :(
Had to go to my 2nd choice piercing place - Zodiac as the woman at skin fantasy said my tagus was too small!
It looks very nice. Hope you don't get any problems with it. Enjoy. :)

Looking good! Mine was the same, be careful when your sleeping as every time you roll onto that ear it's gonna hurt. That will soon pass, just make sure you clean it everyday, but as you have other piercings you already know that :)

:D Thankyouu!
Yeah, and I'm not one for keeping still when i'm asleep hehe.
I dont have a problem with piercings, I have my ears done, but for me personally thats all I will have, I would look odd with more.
I dont mind others with more as long its not loads, I think with you have them in every possible place its too much.
Im not too keen on the ones that people have a on their face, but again it depends sometimes it looks okay

No :( I was dissapointed! hehe
I was waiting but it never came!
My third one had to be further up as last time I had my thirds done they rejected. And (although you can't see it in the picture) underneath the one shown is like a little cut out but where it never healed back properly. But then again that serves me right for getting them pierced with a gun!

What did you get the 3rd once pierced with then the 2nd time?

With a needle like the rest of them ;] I didn't have any money hardly the first time and £4 on the market sounded good to me! I've just taken them out this morning though as they are too sore and just not healing properly. ;[

Ive had a gun for my 2nd and 3rd holes, in claires where they do both ears at the same time, and mine healed good
have you took the 3rd ones out, without leaving them in the whole time?, if so are you gonna put them back in at all or just let them heal over again

How much does a tragus piercing cost roughly?
Hollie-x
09-07-2008, 20:21
No, i've had them in for about 6months now, they're just really sore all the time. It hurts to sleep on them.
And Kasple (please shout at me if that's not you! ) mine cost £25 but I think it depends where you go. £20-£30 is about average me thinks. It was £25 for a bar and £20 for a CRB where I went. The other place was £15 CRB and £20 bar.

I think she meant CBR - Captive Bead Rings, they're the rings with the beads which attaches them together. Commonly seen in many piercings such as eyebrow, bellybutton, lip. I have one of those in my tragus.
