Hi guys, im new, did Derek run the community centre?? mustve missed that episode!! lol,

Derek always to me seemed a kinda pointless character as he never really does anything but watch tv with pauline!

Same here. I found his character quite pointless and unnecassary. Out of all the axeings ee have had over the past year, Im not disapointed with this one. Good luck to Ian though.

I don´t mind Derek that much,but he does seem pointless,as he doesn´t do anything in Albert Sqaure,except for keeping Pauline company,that is.
I mean,its good to get rid of some people to make room for some people in EastEnders wo can be a bit more exciting,at least!!!!!

The poor man i feel sorry for him,i mean he is a bit boring but i think he should stay,not as a major charector but as he is now,lets face it every community has someone like derek and i feel a bit sorry for the actor it's not his fault he's given boring scripts is it.

What was the point in Derek anyways? He was never realy given a powerful storyline. He might be killled by the mugger for going to the police! We never know! But he hasnt really had good storyline has he? So I don't like him dull chracter..... ca't wait for him to go! I wonder when he is leaving! Wooohooo about time!

he once had a sort of story line, the whole gay/army thing? any body remember that? it wasn't very big but i've got BAD memory and if i can remember it..........:)lol

Aw...he's cute though, I liked the poor old guy. I hope Lavender has many successes in the future. And I'm glad to know that at least he gets a big exit.
