Or is it just me?
I really cant stand the show i think its time for it to end
I love it! trash tv at it's best. People can slate it, but it's got two more years confirmed by channel 4, so it's long from being dead.
Simple solution for anyone who doesnt like it - don't watch it. The thing is so many people are quick to judge the show, critics and public alike, but there are those out there that enjoy it, each to their own is what I say. If people don't like the show thats their own choice, but not on for them to ruin it for the sake of others imo!
Thank you for starting this thread.. I hate it with a passion and those "live" shows where they cut the sound every 2 secs.. what is the point of that.. and does anyone really sit and watch people sleeping in bed????
it interupts programs and it a waste of time and money
God, I hate it too. This series I am making a concerted effort to ignore it!
I also hate the fact that they took Desperate Housewives off the air for this drival!
And then there are all the threads on here about it - it make me wonder if I am missing sonething :confused:
But I am not - I will be strong - big brother is past its sell by date :thumbsdow

Love it love it love it, every year i say its gone downhill and i wont watch it much nd every year im addicted!

Thing is, it takes over magazines, newspapers, channel 4 and E4. Shows are removed from the schedule for several months so that this program can air. Shows that some people have waited months for and have been cut off mid series. I can't walk into the newsagents and pick up a tv guide or newspaper without seeing big brother on the front page or having a twelve page special pull out detailing every bit contestants' lives.

Exactly, you can avoid it, it's eavery where. i even know some of the people's name's and i've not seen it yet.
I hate it too and have only ever watched trailers on it which you can't avoid if you are waiting for another programme to start. It is just mind numbing and I find it insulting my intelligence. A friend of mine stays up half the night to watch it :wall: And it is getting worse, read a headline of somebody getting her boobs out (can't remember the name) within minutes of arriving at the house. :confused: Why? Who cares? And I get so annoyed to read that the winner earns a bloody packet like Jade Goody :eek:

I CAN'T STAND IT - oh sorry for shouting but it sooooo annoys me. They are a brainless, shallow, self absorbed bunch of wannabe's - no matter what year. Deep breath - ok feel a little better now!!

Don't enjoy it half as much as I used to but still don't hate it.
In the NOTW yesterday there was a story about a contestant who abandoned her husband and two year old daughter just so she could go on the show. Her husband only found out when he saw her on tv, she told him she was staying at her parents :angry: What sort of a mother does that to her child?
It's just a platform for wannabees to launch their "career" or raise their profile.
I think its good once you get into it :D And then you cant stop :p

I must say I enjoy it, simply because I enjoy watching a mix of personalities interact in a confined space for 3 months and see how relationships and conflicts develop and how they all live with each other - I just find it fascinating. It's not everyone's cup of tea though, but I hate the way the show is looked down upon and some people are judged because of them viewing the programme. It's like it's shameful if you admit that you watch Big Brother nowadays and I really don't know why it's such a pleasure people have to feel guilty about. If you don't enjoy it, simply don't watch it. It isn't to everyone's tastes. I'm not saying everyone here judges people, but what I mean by my statement is that the public in general seem to be judging people now just because they are viewers of Big Brother.
I don't have a problem with other people watching BB, I don't understand how they can find it enjoyable but each to their own. It is like anything else in this world, we can't all like the same things, how boring would life be if we did! As long as I am not forced to watch it :lol:

What I do find irritating and object to is the way the program is rammed down our throats in the media. What's the point in buying a magazine if half of it is on a program that I neither like nor watch? Waste of money imo.

Yeah thats the thing I dont like, the media not BB. Then again, I never buy magazines so its okay :p

After lack of interest from the last two BB series due to annoying and fake housemates. I wasn't bothered about this year one way or another, but I watch the launch night and I've got to say the housemates this year as some of the best we've had. Apart from Alex, Dennis and a couple of others trying be like previous HM the rest appear to be themselves.
