Group A - Czech Republic Portugal Switzerland Turkey
Group B - Austria Croatia Germany Poland
Group C - France Italy Netherlands Romania
Group D - Greece Russia Spain Sweden
I think the winner will come from Group C
BTW
Can You Hear Me? by Enrique Iglesias is the official song of UEFA EURO 2008 and the Spanish star scheduled to perform live at the final in Vienna on 29 June.
I would like Germany to win as I will be in Germany for the final.. If coming 3rd in the world cup was anything to go by, the atmosphere was fantastic

I support Poland because I am half-polish. Even though they are not that great :p Better than England though  Aren't England in the Euro thing?
England (0) 2 Croatia (2) 3, played Novembe 2007
England are out of Euro 2008 because of the above result and Steve McClaren lost his job as England manager as a result. Fabio Capello was appointed as the next manager.
I hate football on the telly.
My hubby watches whatever is on regardless of whether he supports the team.
What is the point!!!

I hate football when it interrupts my favourite shows  I don't watch the matches I just follow the results on the news. When I say results I mean for the Euro and World cup, just out of interest.
I don't see the point either of watching every match regardless :p

i normally just watch the england games and the final, i only have the other matches on if im bored and have nothing else to do
Italy
With all the match fixing scandal they will want to put on great performances and they have the players
I think either Germany who still have a strong side from the World cup or Portugal and failing that Holland i thnk are due a win.

I prefer Rugby players myself ;)
I'm annoyed because Euro 2008 is going to push Holby to a Thursday in a couple of weeks and we can't be having that! :nono: :p

Looks like you wont be watching much footy for the next few weeks then:(
great tv schedules messed around for the sake of some games that no one is interested in, why waste time showing it if England isn't in it?
thank god for Big Brother on channel 4 is all I say.

thats what my mum said, although i can see why cos some people might wanna watch it as its a major tournament and might not have sky etc. also did the bbc/itv already pay for the rights to show it before they knew england werent in it?
Not sure where to put this as it affects a few soaps, hope this is the right place.

holland was a stormer of a game best so far. Sweden beat the holders Greece 2-0 last night as well great result.
Greece werent on form, and Samaras was pants, he really isnt at that level yet, he is playing well for Celtic but he hasnt quite got that star quality.
The Holland game has been the best so far. Was shocked at how good Russia were, even though they didnt win.
France not been as good as i thought they would be.

what a cracking game last night with Turkey and Czech... last 15 mins were sensational
i was gutted i turned it over as it was boring when i flickd back to get the final score i'd missed all the action.
Stuck a 10er on Holland today, there in some cracking form.
my money is on holland to win, heard a lot of good things about their squad. think they're the odds on favourites
i think they are, if they win now my 10 pound bet will get 46 back which is quite.
Robben, Sniejder, Van Nistelrooy and Van Persie are all so strong and able to get goals. I also thought Croatia would do well as they beat the Germans but they have won games with not that many goals an d1 penalty.
Whoever wins the semi-final between Holland and Spain (which i think it will be) will go on to win at the final.

Italy trumped the French decisively in their Group C re-match of 2006 World Cup winners and runners-up Tuesday, moving on to play Spain in the quarterfinals on Sunday after an enlivening display of confidence.
Meanwhile Holland, who remain unbeaten in three matches after defeating Romania 2-0 today, play the winner of tomorrow’s Group D fixture between Sweden and Russia on Saturday.

Some of the guys at work fancy Italy for winning after their win last night against France but No-one can rule out Holland from winning Euro 2008 they have been on fire so far.

It was a good game last night but I have to say I favoured the Spanish.. Italy were looking for a shootout and failed... nice little line up for the semi's
Germany V Turkey 25th June
Russia V Spain 26th June
I hope the Turkish fans don't go on the rampage again as they did in Vienna, although they had won, it spoils the fun supporters should have, regardless of whether their team wins or not.

Can't believe Holland went out what a shocker. Germany now have to win.
Can't believe Holland were knocked out. I would think russia should do ok, they could possible surprise us all.
Flaming heck, no transmission on BBC 1 with half an hour to go  Voice commentary only. I live in Germany and won't be setting foot outside tonight, trouble is expected whether the Turks win or lose :(
Germany has just scored again and BBC1 are off transmission again. Well, I suppose there will be plenty of repeats. I only watch these kind of games, never watch the normal league games, don't know why I get so uptight tonight, sorry folks for moaning.
Well, Germany in the finale  , did not think they would do it but well done, they were lucky rather than good players tonight though, hard luck on the Turkish team.
I thought the Turks were going to do a nother spectacular comeback, however the germans provided to tougher competition, that Lahm goal was brilliant. Although i do reckon Stuttgard will be wondering what on earth they have bought with Jens Lehmann, he was trerrible.
It was a good game though. I think what ever the final, Germany v Spain / Russia, it should be good.
I think the turks did themselves pruoud considering they had about 13 fit players/ not suspended, and also Colin Kazin - Richards, or Kazin - Kazim as he were known last night played really well. I bet Sheff Wed are guted they sold him.

Germany were shocking last night, they are really going to have to give themselves a shake in the final otherwise they are going to get thumped by the other finalist.
Germany in the final and they have not played that well
It just showed you can be really lucky and still win this tournament. I think Russia could do a Greece, when they won it four years ago. But all my predictions have gone wrong.
Wel, Russia did not win but Spain did, should be an interesting finale. If the German team does not buck up they will hand the win to the Spanish.

i agree, i want spain to win too. ive not really been watching much this time, but to me it seems like germany always make it into the final of these tournaments and most of the time they have either not played as well as some of the other teams and just got there through luck or they somehow get drawn against really easy teams to beat. i wanted holland to win but seeing as they didnt even make the semifinals i now want spain to win
Chloe O'brien
28-06-2008, 00:34
I want Germany to win but I don't want to jinx them as I had high hopes for Holland. If Germany played the same way they did on Wednesday then they deserve to get thumped by Spain, but I think they will pull it out of the bag and give a stunning performance.
