There is a shop in the square called Barratt's Bargain Corner. Can anyone tell me anything about it? No-one ever goes in there. No-one ever says, "I'm just going to Barratt's". No-one ever says, "Oh, I bought this in Barratt's" etc.

How does the shop stay in business if no-one goes there?

The shop in the square called Barratt's Bargain Corner cleverly incorporates the BBC's initials. Probably just a bit of covert advertising. :hmm:

Yes, I had realised that, but if no-one goes there, it'll go broke. Perhaps that's an omen of what will happen to the BBC too...:hmm:

Also, no-one ever sees Mr/Mrs/Miss Barratt. Whenever anyone is looking for a job on the Square they never go to Barratt's to ask.

It all seems very strange to me.

Maybe Winston could make a bid for the shop and sell his records there...
