View Full Version : Roxanne McKee (Louise) Quitting
ROXANNE McKee is quitting Hollyoaks and is desperate for a role in EastEnders.
The beauty, who plays Louise Summers in the Channel 4 soap, wants to move on to a bigger show and thinks Albert Square would be her ideal new home.
Pin-up Roxanne, 27, has told pals she would love to join ex-Hollyoaks co-star Gemma Bissex, who is now starring in the BBC1 soap as Claire Bates.
She is set to leave in October. A friend said: “Roxanne has loved being in Hollyoaks but feels it is time to move on.
“She’s been in talks with her management about roles in the more popular soaps.
“Hollyoaks has been a great place for her to start out as an actress but she is ready for a fresh challenge.”
Former politics student Roxanne worked as a waitress and a recruitment consultant before wowing Hollyoaks bosses at an open audition in 2005.

 Apart from that she doesn't seem to do much. No real loss. She just seemed to be either crying...screaming...or jumping into bed with Warren
Yeah thats true, I used to really hate her at the beginning but she did improve

Hollyoaks actress Roxanne McKee has hinted that she may leave the soap when her current contract ends.
The soap star, who plays Louise Summers, said that she would reconsider her future with the show in October.
"I'm not going to be there forever," McKee told Look magazine. "I don't mind the long hours but I'll have been doing that for four years in October when my contract ends."
When asked whether she would consider moving to Hollywood, she commented: "I don't see why not. I think you should aim for the stars - and hopefully avoid ending up in the clouds!"
McKee also revealed that she still regularly worries about her physique, despite winning the sexiest female gong at this year’s British Soap Awards.
She added: "I criticise myself an awful lot. I do worry to the point that I don't think it's very healthy. I'm always picking my flaws.
"It's a terrible anxiety I have. I wish I could pretend nothing fazes me but it does."

The rumours have been rife for months now, but today we can confirm that Roxanne McKee (Louise) will leave HOLLYOAKS in an explosive storyline that will climax this Christmas.
Since she arrived in Hollyoaks, Louise's brusque attitude and determination to succeed have ruffled more than a few feathers in the Hollyoaks village. But, beneath her tough exterior, Louise harbours a bitter secret. Having fallen in love with Warren (Jamie Lomas), the man who murdered her estranged husband Sean Kennedy, Louise must resolve to remain loyal to Warren and keep his secret or face a future without the man she loves.
As Louise excitedly plans her Christmas wedding, her appetite for revenge is fuelled when she discovers, after weeks of suspicion, that Warren is having an affair with her best friend and bridesmaid Mandy (Sarah-Jayne Dunn). On the outside, Louise is the excited bride-to-be but on the inside she is concocting the ultimate master plan. But who is at the top of Louise's hit list - bad boy Warren or the other woman Mandy? When Louise acquires a gun it's clear that she is determined to succeed. But will the plan work or will there be a different outcome entirely?

Tbh i wouldnt mind seeing Roxanne in Eastenders! I dont think her actually skills are up to it though.
no big loss to the show, she's so wooden, she brings the show down imo. saying that though I like the dynamic that her and Warren have.

Hollyoaks star Roxanne McKee has admitted that she feels "exhausted" after filming her final scenes for the soap.
The actress's character Louise Summers will bow out after three years as part of a dramatic Christmas storyline next month.
McKee has found the experience so overwhelming that she is delaying her leaving party while she recuperates.
"I'm absolutely exhausted. The stuff we've been filming has been very emotional," McKee told the Daily Star Sunday. "I can't say too much as I don't want to spoil it for everyone.
"I know it sounds lame but I needed some time off to get over it all. So I'm having a couple of weeks chilling out before I hold two parties - one in London and the other in Liverpool. I've been in Liverpool for three-and-a-half years so I want to get everyone I know together for a proper send-off. And a lot of my friends and former cast members are now based in London so I'll have another party once I move back."
Asked about her future plans, she added: "I've always said I'd love to do a period drama and I'd also like to do theatre. But right now I'm really looking forward to both of my leaving parties."

Hollyoaks' resident superbitch Louise Summers - played by Roxanne McKee - is out for revenge over Christmas following the revelation that her husband-to-be Warren (Jamie Lomas) had been having an affair with her close friend Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn). With her plan to frame Mandy for Warren's murder, Louise innocently continues to prepare for her 'big day', but when her wedding finally dawns, not all goes to plan as Warren finds the gun under her pillow in the bridal suite. Here, DS chats to 'Oaks departee Roxanne about Louise and Warren's relationship, her exit plot and Louise's mum.
What's Louise's master plan from the outset of the week?
"Well, the master plan is to get back at Mandy and Warren for everything they've done by whatever means possible, and there's a gun involved."
There's a shock discovery in the first episode of the week, too, isn't there?
"Yeah, Louise finds out she's pregnant, which makes her think even harder about her master plan and what she's going to do. The discovery does make her realise that she still loves Warren, especially now she's carrying his child, but it's a question of does Louise get back with Warren because she's pregnant or does she get rid of him because she's pregnant? It's a double-edged sword. She's in a very vulnerable position, but Mandy's a bitch and has done something naughty with a man that's not hers, so Louise is hell-bent on getting her own back."
Have you always known that the Warren and Louise plot was going to come to an explosive climax?
"Absolutely, it had to come out at some stage. I've known for over a year that I've wanted to leave, so I went to the writers last year to let them know that I wouldn't be signing another contract and asked for a nice exit at the same time. It ended up that they've given me a fantastic exit! I originally asked for Louise to commit suicide because I thought that would have been a good exit for her after everything she's been through. But it turned out that I got an even better exit!"
Warren hands Louise a gift during the week, doesn't he?
"Yeah, he gives her an eternity ring. It's such an ironic symbol of their relationship and it makes her feel sick inside because she knows about the affair. The irony really does hit her hard, but she really want to hit him hard where it hurts."
We meet Louise's mum Yvonne, too, don't we?
"She's amazing. Lysette Anthony is perfect for the role. It was just fab to work with her. It's a shame we haven't met her before now. When they bought Lysette in, they realised it'd have been lovely to have had her in a lot longer. Yvonne's such a good character - her and Louise are like two peas in a pod."
Do we get a glimpse of why Louise is the way she is
"Definitely. You see a softer, vulnerable side to Louise when she's around her mum. She's like a shy child due to the way her mum has treated her. You see why Louise is as cold as she is."
Do Warren and Louise truly love each other?
"The problem is, Louise and Warren can't live with each other and they can't live without each other. Whatever happens between them, though, they'll always be the love of each other's lives. It'll always be that way."
What was it like filming your final ever scenes?
"It was emotional but at the same time exhilarating. We had Tris Burns as our director and he's just fantastic. It's just been an amazing time and I've worked with an amazing bunch of people. I'm going to miss Lime Pictures so much, but I really am looking forward to the future."
What's it been like working with Jamie Lomas for all this time?
"He's been the best pretend boyfriend a girl could have!"
What's on the horizon for you?
"I hope theatre. I'd very much like to experience a different genre of acting. Or I'd love to do a period drama."
Would you do soap again?
"No, I'm not a traitor!"
