Not sure where to put this, but seeing Fiona Phillips acting like a looney on tv this morning, put me in bad form for the day. Talk about giving women a bad image. What is she doing in Moscow, stalking footballers and managers and asking dumb questions at news conferences. Biggest game in UK history and she asks if they are feeling relaxed and laid back. Get a life woman. I can remember when she was working with Eamonn Holmes and she used to complain when Chelsea or Fulham played at home cos she couldn't get up and down her street with traffic and fans. Suddenly Chelsea become fashionable thanks to Jose and she jumps on the bandwagon and becomes an expert. I know her hubby is high up in GMTV but this week is bordering on the ridiculous. Waste of money sending her out there, maybe she could get arrested and locked up for a couple of months, give us all a break. She almost makes me wish United win tonight - feel better now I got that off my chest.

Hope it is only ALMOST that you want United to win tonight
They certainly could have sent a better presenter over there to report back, perhaps Ben or Andrew. I agree Fiona seemed totally out of her depth reporting about this massize event, she didn't have the first clue about anything really.
I agree, and i know Fiona is a big Chelsea supporter, so surely that isn't really appropriate?! Urgh! My dad was having a hissy fit aswell, the fact that she just happens to go out there. I think they could have sent a better reporter.
To be honest, Fiona i think is the worst presenter (in my opinion) anyway. And how ridiculous were those questions ....!

A reporter should never state their own opinion, they are supposed to report on an event without being judgemental and leave their own opinions behind. I did not see GMTV so can't comment on her presentation and questioning. On the other hand, do not forget that news programmes tend to be dumbed down so that those not knowledgeable about a certain subject can understand the report to some extent at least. You just need to look at the questions they set for winning prizes on most shows these days, I think they are very easy and will entice a lot of people to pay loads of dosh to take part in phone-ins.
