CORRIE luvvie Antony Cotton has signed a megabucks two-year deal to stay on as gay knicker-stitching pint puller Sean Tully.

And following That Antony Cotton Show, ITV chiefs are also lining him up for another project of his own.

The star, on £120,000 a year playing camp Sean, won’t reveal details of his new deal.

But he told TV Biz: “I look forward to some exciting new storylines in the Street and developing future programme ideas with ITV.”

A senior source at ITV said: “He’s done well with his talk show. Now we want him to try his hand at something different.

“A new gameshow is a big possibility.”

Meanwhile, Corrie’s Ian Reddington — Liz McDonald’s rocker husband Vernon Tomlin — has been released from his contract and leaves in September.

Liz (Beverly Callard) has some steamy scenes soon with dodgy Harry Mason (Jack Ellis). So bookie Jack could be on a winner — his contract has been extended.

I thought the bookies have been given the boot? Good news for Sean to have been given another two year contract.

Sorry, but I can't abide Anthony Cotton. His tv chat show was axed due to it being pants, so why they wanna try him with a game show, god knows. Will they never learn? :nono:

How can ITV say he did well with his chat show. It bombed everyone thought it was a pile of poo. I don't see the attraction in him at all he is fine playing Sean in Corrie but please no don't give him a quiz show or anything else.

Glad to see the bookie being kept on.

I am really glad the bookie is staying on too - Jack Ellis is a good actor. They just need to give him something decent to work with...

Can't say I'm pleased about Antony Cotton though - the guy can't act and his chat show was pants. ITV are fools for keeping him on, if you ask me.

And he gets paid £120, 000 a year to play himself - I wish I could do that!

Yeah I quite like Harry. Don't like the other one though.

I never watched Anthony's chat show, but I wouldn't watch a gameshow he presents.

I know me either, I think we have enough game shows at the moment

Not keen on the game show idea, but doubt I would watch anyway. I think the Sean character is ok, but don't like him as much as I used to.

 I can guarantee now that anything Antony Cotton presents will not hook me in the slightest.
