Didn't know what to call this thread. So even though it isn't "goodbye", i guess it is in a way.
As you can see from my name being orange now, i've decided to "stand down" as a moderator, and Rimmer has "demoted" me back to being a member.
I didn't want the regular ones of you wondering what i had done to make that happen, hence this thread.
I've been a moderator on here for nearly two years. Which, frankly, is far too long. I've moved on a lot, and this forum isn't any the better for me being on the staff here. I'm not leaving the forum, but for this reason, its time to move on.
All the other moderators on here have been fantastic. Its nothing against any of you. Its just.. its not me anymore. I'm much happier being a member than being on staff now.
This next part might be a bit ambiguous for some of you. But bare with me. A few weeks ago, i suggested to Rimmer and to the other moderators that i think two members on here would be fantastic moderators. And i stand by what i said. Seriously, think about promoting one of them. Now i'm not there, maybe they'll be more of an inclination to do so.
Thats all i have to say really. I don't want this to look like i'm wanting to get attention, i just want everyone to know what decision i've made. I don't want any of you to think i've been pushed out or anything, because i haven't. This is completly on my own accord.

Im glad you made this thread :D I wondered why your name was orange lol. And yes the 30 second limit can be annoying since I type and click and move arounf a lot, you get used to it and wait after a while :D
I just wanted to say you were a really good Mod and did so much like helped with the Quiz thin ( which should start up after exams :p ) and then Deal or No deal whcih was a lot of fun :D So thankyou so much, Im glad you'll still me around though as a member, it will be werid seing you orange, but thats the same for any colour change, it suits you :D

I think all the great replies to this thread are a testament to how good you were as a moderator, Abi. It's not an easy job but I noticed you always adopted a 'firm but fair' approach - remaining friendly and approachable whilst enforcing rules and as I've already said, I hope you don't disappear from the boards!

Well done on all your hard work you have done over the last two years Abi. I've had a loads of laughs with Deal 0r No Deal and SBBB. you along with the other Mods have a brilliant job keeping us all in-line. Glad to know your still going to around.

Lmao! Yeah, a few times! A lot of the time i felt bad about warning people though. But sometimes people do something so annoying that its kind of satisfying! I dont think i ever banned anyone permanently though... I've given out a fair few warnings though. The funniest warning i ever gave was this - I was on MSN and talking to jojo. And at the same time, i was in a big convo with about 8 other SBs members. And i meant to say to jojo something like "yeah, i think you should warn them...", and i wrote it in the big convo by mistake. And got lots of questions about who i was warning, lmao. I was good and didn't say anymore though!!

For me, making sure i went by the rules myself!!! I'm rubbish with rules. Erm.. i dunno, its easy really :p
Whats the Staff room like?
Not sure how much i'm allowed to say!! It varies. Sometimes its very funny, sometimes very gossipy, sometimes quiet... depends whats happening on here, really.

I was shocked that Rimmer asked me. Because everyone else seemed way more mature than me and much more sensible. Probably because they are! And i wondered why he thought someone like me would be any good at someting like that.

I regret... i dunno! Actually, i do have a regret from here. When i became a mod, i was very concious about what everyone thought, because there were a few members who thought i shouldn't be a mod. And i tried to prove myself to them. Looking back, i shouldn't have given a **** what they thought :p
