Former Corrie hunk to play a role in The Bill

FANS of former Corrie softie Rupert Hill are in for a shock - the sexy star has signed up for the role of a frightening thug.

Rupert, who formerly played Jamie Baldwin in Coronation Street, will be playing violent Kieran Wallace in a four-part special of The Bill this summer.

Hardcase Kieran is part of a gun-running gang which Sergeant Smithy (Alex Walkinshaw) has to infiltrate during an undercover case.

Rupert said: “It makes a change to play such a vicious character.

"Alex Walkinshaw and I filmed scenes during match day at Millwall Football Club – a fantastic opportunity, and called for some complicated filming, but it was a lot of fun.”
