Matilda Hunter is leaving the bay. Indiana Evans hasnt been given a new contract she will leave in October. Source Herald Sun Australia.
I am not surprised actually there isnt that much left in the bay for her anymore. With all her family gone and Lucas has gone.
Awwww I think its sad, there will be no more Hunters :(
I heard about this a while back. Once Ric leaves there is nobody left for her except Tony who she doesn't live with anymore.
I really liked the Hunters.
So do I.
know that when a family leaves but one there is nothing for them to stay for, but I think they still should stay, I mean they only go somewhere else on their own, so why cant they stay?
I think Matilda wanted to go to Paris to live with Robbie just after Beth died so she might go.
There were some rumours that Tasha was coming back but nothing about Robbie and the baby.

I'm worried about the number of cast that have decided to leave this year. Sally, Drew, Dan, Ric, Cassie, Lucas, now Matilda. I think there are some more that have left/are to leave.

Morag is permanant, as is Aden. Roman's daughter, Nicole, turns up. Miles is kinda like Sally's replacement, teacher and owner of caravan park.
I presume there will be some young characters coming in to make up for the loss of Matilda, Lucas, Cassie, Drew and Ric.

The only leaving ones that truly annoys me/upsets me are Sally and Ric. :(. I can live without all those others.

Now that would be funny. She already has a child I think :hmm: He's called Richard or something like that.
Depending on how old you are, you might remeber Morags only child (a daughter called Bobbie) died in a boating accident

Morag is only on a 6 month contract, but I sincerely hope she goes full time, but she is a busy actress because she presents the Weakest Link in Oz i think ! Nicole is pure heaven and totally refreshing to Summer Bay and Miles too. I thought Sally leaving was the end, but in fact I have been watch H&A Oz Episodes on You Tube and the Soap is doing really nicely actually.
Gutted that Matlida is going, but maybe she leaves with Ric at the end of the year ?? I really can't see why H&A would not want to keep her :searchme:
i can see why they are doing this, they are moving on to a new generation of teens, it happens once in a while like Ric Mattie, Lucas and Cassie were the replacements for the likes of Nick and Jade and Kirsty and Kane. ITs time for fresh blood i think.

She has no family left and she doesn't really see much of Annie and Geoff. She doesn't like Aden and I doubt she'll like Nicole so really there's no point in having her.

Matilda is really no big loss and i think that they have done all they can with the charecter.
There will be quite alot of new faces coming in but to be honest Home and Away has never been better since the begining of the year evrey episode has been strong. Im so glad Morag is back on a more permenant basis as she is what i feel the matriach of Summer Bay.

Awwww I know what you mean but at the same time she is the last of Hunters and it will be odd for me without her

Filming is usually three months in advance so if she stops filming in September she'll probably leave around the time that school finishes in December.

Reports that Indiana (Matilda) was forced out of Home and Away when producers refused to renew her contract are false says the actress. Speaking from her emotional final day of filming on location, Indiana admits she was surprised to see the story....... (Matilda will be seen on air until July). "At first, I laughed. It's bizarre that something that isn't quite true can get written about you", she says. There isn't a lot I can do about it. I am leaving, but I decided to leave myself. They asked me back, which they tend to do with most characters. It was the end of my contract, so it wasn't like I was cutting it short." After four and a half years playing Matilda Hunter, Indiana was ready to move on. Indiana is sworn to secrecy on the details of her character's departure, but did disclose that she's thrilled Matilda leaves on a high. Yep she's one of the few Bay residents who gets a 'happy ending".

AFTER BEING HELD AT GUNPOINT BY CRAZED KANE PHILLIPS, RIC GOES INTO A DANGEROUS DOWNWARD SPIRAL, JEOPARDISING HIS FUTURE WITH MATILDA
Ric's relief at escaping the dangerous world of underground fighting proves to be short lived when he realises that he is once again completely broke.
