Monday 21 April 2008

When Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) arrives unexpectedly, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) invites her to Eli’s (Joseph Gilgun) party. She’s disturbed to see Shadrach (Andy Devine) boozing on the street with Eli and Paddy is quick to shepherd her away. Gennie comments that Shadrach reminds her of a man who slept rough where she grew up. At the party, Gennie comments on how nice everyone seems. When she asks Paddy whose party it is, he tells her its a family by the name of Dingle, leaving Gennie shocked and anxious about what will happen next. Will the lady meet the tramp?

Meanwhile when Mel (Caroline Strong) shows up with Arthur (Billy Harrower), Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is thrown and refuses to take him even though she had arranged to babysit. She confesses to Ashley (John Middleton) that she can’t face having him in the house. When Hilary (Paula Wilcox) discovers that Mel and Greg (Shaun Prendergast) plan to move away, she begs them to stay, leaving them feeling confused by her outburst. Will Mel and Greg discover her suspicions?

Elsewhere, Lily (Anne Charleston) opens Pearl’s (Meg Johnson) post to discover she has won a competition and the prize is a cruise for two people. Lily, Edna (Shirley Stelfox) and Betty (Paula Tilbrook) all want to go on the cruise but Pearl tells them they’ll have to be on their best behaviour until she decides who to take. Will it be handbags at dawn?

Tuesday 22 April

Vaughan (Richard Cole) informs Donna (Verity Rushworth) that as they can't prove her allegations against Shane (Paul McEwan) she should withdraw her complaint. However she's at breaking point after Shane threatens her once again, and tells Marlon (Mark Charnock) that she's thinking of resigning. When Ross (Samuel Anderson) overhears, guilt-ridden he confesses all to Marlon about why he hasn't told the truth. Initially furious, Marlon agrees to keep it from Donna in return for his help in getting back at Shane. Will the cocky copper finally get his comeuppance?

Elsewhere, Shadrach (Andy Devine) makes a big effort attempting to cook a meal in preparation for Gennie's (Sian Reese-Williams) visit. Chas (Lucy Pargeter) arrives late and the others have already started. Put out when Shadrach admits that he forgot she was coming, Chas's jealousy is compounded as she witnesses her father and his prodigal daughter bonding in the pig sty. Can Chas cope with a new sister in on the act?

Wednesday 23 April

Shane (Paul McEwan) threatens Eli (Joseph Gilgun) when he searches his house for drugs, leaving the errant Dingle angry. When he later talks to Marlon (Mark Charnock) the brothers are surprised to discover that they share a common enemy. Keen to make up for what he put Marlon and Donna (Verity Rushworth) through, Eli is resolute that he will give Shane a good hiding for all of them but Marlon isn't convinced. Is Eli still intent on giving Shane his own special brand of revenge?

Over at the Dingle homestead, Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) is showing Shadrach (Andy Devine) some old photos. When Chas (Lucy Pargeter) overhears him exclaim that he loves looking at old pictures, she angrily reminds him that he never even bothered to take any pictures of her. However her mood subsides when Shadrach later praises her for being brave enough to help him to find Gennie. Will Chas be able to share her father with her shiny new sibling?

Meanwhile, Lexi (Sally Oliver) and Carl (Tom Lister) start to get close in the office, leaving her confused by her feelings. Caught between two brothers, will Lexi choose her head or her heart?

Thursday 24 April 7pm

When Ross (Samuel Anderson) turns up to offer Donna (Verity Rushworth) a lift to work, she informs him that she's not going in. At the station, Ross acts friendly with Shane (Paul McEwan) so he can gain his trust. Back home, Marlon (Mark Charnock), Eli (Joseph Gilgun) and Zak (Steve Halliwell) wait at the barn wearing balaclavas, calling Ross with instructions to lead Shane into their treacherous trap. Will the Dingles deal their justice or will Ross cop out of the cunning plan?

Elsewhere, Lexi (Sally Oliver) attempts to show Carl (Tom Lister) what she is capable of when she gets more quotes for the business. When her attempts to impress fail, she resigns in a huff causing Carl to u-turn and chase after her. Promising her more involvement in the company, Lexi relents and agrees to go back. With Carl firmly back wrapped round her finger, is Lexi one step closer to carrying out Matthew's (Matt Healy) dirty work?

Over at the Woolpack, Val (Charlie Hardwick) is annoyed that Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) won't agree to her plans of modernising the pub. Will tradition triumph over trash?

Friday 25 April

Donna (Verity Rushworth) decides to go back into work, but Marlon (Mark Charnock) tries to persuade her to stay home, leaving her suspicious. Realising that Ross (Samuel Anderson) is planning a sting on Shane (Paul McEwan), she sets off to stop him. Shocked to find him in cahoots with Marlon and Zak (Steve Halliwell), she angrily chastises them and demands they put a stop to their plan. Ross admits that things have already gone too far - he's planted drugs in Shane's locker. Fuming, Donna heads to Shane's locker to retrieve the stash. As Shane catches her mid-act, is Donna about to find herself knee-deep in trouble?

Meanwhile, Lexi (Sally Oliver) is pleased when she is allowed to sit in on Carl's (Tom Lister) meeting with Donald (Michael Jayston). When she finds out their plans to rebrand De Souza Enterprises with a greener image, she's delighted to be privy to such information. Will she find loyalty to her employers or keep her promise to share all secrets with Matthew (Matt Healy)?

Elsewhere, Val (Charlie Hardwick) is delighted when Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) finally agrees to her making a few changes to the Woolpack. However Val's mood soon sours when, after a disagreement with Lisa (Jane Cox), the whole Dingle clan blacklist the pub until a full apology is received. With most of their clientele absent, and takings potentially halved, will Val swallow her pride?

TJ (Connor Lee) is sent home ill from playgroup, but when Terry (Billy Hartman) returns from the chemists he is shocked to see his son being bundled into an ambulance. After some tests at the hospital, Terry is stunned to be told that TJ has E. coli. Jamie (Alex Carter) earns Terry's wrath when he worries that his cabbage fertilizer is to blame, but the doctor reassures him that it isn't possible. He goes on to explain that if TJ makes it through the next 24 hours he is still at risk from lasting kidney damage. Will TJ pull through?

Meanwhile, after Lexi (Sally Oliver) informs the Kings that De Souzas have hired a hot-shot PR company, Matthew (Matt Healy) decides to follow suit and fires Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman) to balance the books. Later, Jasmine is furious to find she's been replaced and wastes no time in telling Matthew exactly what she thinks about him. Will the Kings latest attempt to challenge De Souza pay off?

Elsewhere, Donna (Verity Rushworth) is pleased to enjoy a truce with Shane (Paul McEwan) at work. Her day improves further when Vaughan (Richard Cole) recommends her for a course and she returns home to tell a relieved Marlon (Mark Charnock) that her career has been invigorated. Can Donna now move on and progress in the force?

Tuesday 29 April

Terry (Billy Hartman) and Jamie (Alex Carter) are fuming when Environmental Health suggest that Jo's (Roxanne Pallett) cheese may have caused the E. coli. Jo is horrified to hear about it and rushes to the hospital to see TJ (Connor Lee). However, Terry is unwilling to listen to Jo's protest that she's innocent and warns her to leave. Later that day, Environmental Health investigate Butler's Farm to pinpoint the source. Will the viral outbreak put the future of the farm in jeopardy?

Also, Gray (Christopher Villiers) is shocked when an old friend turns up explaining that he's Perdy's (Georgia Slowe) divorce lawyer. Warning Gray that it would be best to settle things out of court, Richard (Toby Gaffney) gives him Perdy's address. Is Gray prepared to visit Perdy behind Katie's (Sammy Winward) back?

Meanwhile, Lily (Anne Charleston) inspires Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to begin selling organic manure. Back at the Dingles', Zak (Steve Halliwell) admits to a short fall on Belle's tuition fees, so the plucky youngster pledges to raise the necessary cash with her dung business. Does Lisa (Jane Cox) have the heart to tell Belle her plan stinks?

Wednesday 30 April

Gray (Christopher Villiers) is horrified to find Perdy (Georgia Slowe) living in a shabby bedsit, but she does not react well to his sudden arrival. In spite of this, they talk and Perdy begs Gray not to deprive her of the chance to be a mother. Gray is torn but pledges his support for Katie (Sammy Winward) and leaves. Back in the village, Katie asks Gray where he's been and his answers are less than satisfactory. Will Katie find out about Gray's clandestine meetings?

Elsewhere, Jo (Roxanne Pallett) and Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) receive the good news that no evidence has been found to link the E. coli to Jo's cheese. On the way out Environmental Health warn them that they simply got lucky in having cleaned the farming equipment since the outbreak. With the investigation over, can Jo rebuild the shattered faith in her product?

Meanwhile, Eli (Joseph Gilgun) begins selling manure for Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) but their profit margins leave a lot to be desired. Always willing to go the extra mile for success, Eli decides to steal horse manure from Home Farm so they can flog a more prestigious product. Will the posh poo prove to be priceless?

Thursday 1 May

Gray (Christopher Villiers) goes to see Perdy (Georgia Slowe) once more and finds her in a terrible state. Promising to help, Gray reveals that he still cares for her. On his return, Katie (Sammy Winward) is again suspicious and she soon argues with Gray over his whereabouts. Mid-tirade Gray slips up and calls her Perdy, leading Katie to severly question the future of their relationship. Is Gray about to lose both his partner and his unborn child?

Meanwhile, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Ashley (John Middleton) argue over Ashley's insistence to know Arthur's (Billy Harrower) parentage. After arriving back with no news from the hospital, Ashley is interrupted by a desperate Hilary (Paula Wilcox) who informs him that Mel (Caroline Strong) and Greg (Shaun Prendergast) are planning to move to Spain permanently. Will Ashley take steps to ensure Arthur stays put?

Also, when Jonny (Richard Grieve) informs Matthew (Matt Healy) that the manure has been stolen, he finds Eli (Joseph Gilgun) and demands a share of the profits or he'll go to the police. While showing clients around later in the day Matthew is fuming to see his car covered in his own manure. Are the Kings and Dingles about to lock horns?

Friday 2 May

Hilary (Paula Wilcox) offers to baby-sit Arthur (Billy Harrower) but does a runner, leading to Mel (Caroline Strong) and Greg (Shaun Prendergast) missing their flight. Finding Hilary later, Mel and Greg demand an explanation so Ashley (John Middleton) drops a bombshell by revealing that Daniel and Arthur may have been swapped at birth. Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is furious with her husband's gall as Mel breaks down in distress. Greg tells the Thomases to get out as the Dolands struggle to deal with the heartbreaking news. Is the mystery of Arthur's parentage about to cause further pain and heartache?

Meanwhile, Matthew (Matt Healy) tells Zak (Steve Halliwell) to keep a log of the hours he works or else face the sack. Realising he's being made a victim due to the manure fiasco, Zak confronts Eli (Joseph Gilgun), but they're both shocked when Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) admits to sullying Matthew's car. With no other choice, Zak makes Belle apologise to his boss. Will that be enough to save his job?

Elsewhere, Katie (Sammy Winward) finds Gray (Christopher Villiers) moping after their argument and is taken aback when he proposes marriage. Despite harbouring fears over their future together, Katie accepts. Gray is thrilled and determines to show how much he loves her. Will the road to the altar be as smooth as Gray's rhetoric?

So we could see a Perdy/Gray reunion??? Interesting i can't stand Katie
