Can the producer please do something about Amy McDonald, she is a 4 1/2 year old that never speaks and looks positively petrified when she is being lifted up by any family member. :angry: All other children in the other soaps are proper little actors already, little Gabby and TJ in Emmerdale are of the same age and look at them speaking their lines so well. Also, does she not go to play school or something, she always seems to live in the backroom of the Rovers, she never seems to be taken or collected from anywhere where she would mix with other kids. :searchme:

Awwww I know, its just different in some soaps. Some they get the children to speak and it in other they dont.

did you see her face when she was supposed to have nearly been run over the other day. In fairness though i think i would look positilvey petrified if Liz McDonald and Deirdre Barlow were constantly picking me up.

I think picking children for a soap is really hard, and sometimes it must just be luck and corrie dont have a lot of luck with that

Young Joshua Peacock spoke well before he was 4, I mean they have had the same kid playing Amy since 2006 so she should know all the cast and everything to do with filming, if she is that shy, she has no business of being an actress, they need to be a little outgoing, imo.

Maybe they will change to a new Amy as she gets older. Often when that happens, the child goes away for a while, and then returns looking completely different. Always find that really odd!

Aww she's so cute though! But I do think that if she is going to be in the show then she should at least do something worthwhile...I saw her once when I was in the Manchester Science Museum on a school trip, as it over looks the street. Kate Ford had hold of her and Sue Cleaver was with them waving at us. But she still looked scared stiff then!
