that is just so sad.i know social services are stretched to the limit but you hear so many stories of social services failing to do their job properly and only intervening when a tragedy has taken place.
This really is such a sad story, and nobody able to help, I feel for both.
That's terrible. It seems Social Services do nothing to help people, simply shift the blame onto others.

Another hearbreaking story that will probably end with this child dying young because the system let her down and did not give her and her family the support they needed when she was a child.
That was very sad, the systems in this country need sorting out

Erm, its a sad story, and my heart goes out to all involved...wonder how the child feels, knowing that her 'adoptive mother' has written a book about her??? I don't agree with that aspect of it.

don't agree with making money of this poor child but how many other mother/fathers are in the same situation and feel like they are the worst parents on earth when it could be an illness that nobody is willing to help with? This highlights many things and the best would be for these parent to give the profits of the book to Child adoption agencies
This is such a rare condition, Reactive Attachment Disorder, that I don't have a problem with the book about the parent's experience in all this, as there is not enough other information about, by the look of things. There is probably not even that many trained psychologists around who are capable of dealing with this girl and her carers. I really believe that this book was not written purely for financial gain.
Okay money money and the whole writing a book is bad but at the same time its sort of a good thing in the need to raise awareness and so matters such like these arent ignored
