Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has revealed that he wants to get hate mail.
The actor said he is disappointed that fans seem to like his character David Platt, despite past storylines which have seen him push his mum down the stairs and fake a suicide bid on his sister's wedding day.
Heat quotes him as saying: "I don't get any hate mail, but I'm really craving some. I'm like, 'Am I doing the part right?' because everyone thinks David's really nice."
However, he admitted that he was recently on the receiving end of some abuse, saying: "It only started in the last week. I was with Samia Smith's (Maria) husband and I told him that I never get any grief, then about five people came up to me, going 'Arrggh, David, you nasty piece of work.'"
It was recently reported that Shepherd's on-screen chemistry with co-star Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) has spilled over into real life.
Does he not think that we all know it is a soap we are watching and that he is only acting and is not really this evil (I hope)! Silly boy :angry:
