My eldest son (Yr 9) sat some mock sats a couple of weeks ago in readiness for his propers in May.

Got his maths ones back yesterday - he got:



Level 8M!!!!!

He got the highest in the year and I am so proud of him..

Just wanted to share :)

No its not a 7 is a c and 8 is a b, they probs mean he is capable of getting an a or a* as your meant to jump at least 2 grades from your sats

Oh right - ok - ta. Only asking, cos I was reading elsewhere that a level 5 was the equivalent of a C grade.

Why couldn't they just stick to A, B, C etc right the way through the school year - be a darned site easier :angry:
