When Hannah bumps into Kieron later, she innocently mentions how much John Paul seems to like him, leaving Kieron paranoid that John Paul has confided in her. Although Tina scorns the idea, she feels distinctly nervous about carrying the baby as Tony's fidelity is in question, while Jacqui is on the war path to find out the truth.

They spy on an oblivious Tony as he and Max have a hushed conversation in the Village, fuelling Mercedes' scepticism of Tony's faithfulness. Jacqui corners a petrified Max, demanding information from him, but Max is reluctant to say anything. Tina urges Jacqui not to jump to conclusions and manages to appease her temporarily, but when she spots Tony and Max examining a ring in another secret discussion, she immediately leaps to the wrong conclusion…

When Jack admits that Steph was a witness to the attempted rape, Frankie's motherly instinct kicks in and she refuses to believe him.

Katy is disappointed but begrudgingly accepts his excuses and he races off to help Nancy, leaving Katy to confide in Zak that Charlie is ruining her relationship.
