anyone seen this show on channel five. it seems to be on friday, saturday, sunday and wednesday evenings, some are repeats.
its about truckers in the far north of canada or alaska. they have 2 months in every year when the lakes are frozen to travel across them with cargo in big trucks before the lakes melt again. they travel in temps of -40 and if they are not careful their trucks can crack the ice and sink. they earn a years pay in 2months for doing it. take a look. its really amazing!

I watch it - its also showing on the History Channel if you can get it aswell.

An amazing programme. Driving those trucks over 30 inches of ice, they're far braver than I am thats for sure!

Mind you, the wages they earn must help, but even so - risky stuff, especially with the weights they are carrying too.
