Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God) tops the list of names on the new dance card for ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and in doing so takes over from Heather Mills (an amputee) to become the most unlikely person ever to compete on the runaway hit series. I just want to jump in on this gang,, MARLEE MATLIN is an Oscar winning DEAF actress.. she was the FIRST ever Deaf actress to win an acadamy award in a movie called CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD..
I actually KNOW her,, shes from the Chicago Illinois area, and I remember her playing the part of DOROTHY in the Wizard of Oz ( in a traveling deaf theatre group)I saw her several times again, then after she won the oscar..:)
I am going to be watching her on You Tube ,since this program will not be broadcast in the Netherlands,, a few million deaf people will also be watching...:D
