Bruce Forsyth wants Ronnie Corbett to replace him on Strictly Come Dancing if he decides to quit the show, say reports.

Forsyth has mentioned the veteran comedian's name to the show's producers, according to the Daily Star.

"Bruce wants to leave the show in safe hands and he is quite bullish about the fact that he wants a veteran household name to take his place," said a source.

"He’s already mentioned Ronnie to producers."

However, there are reportedly concerns overs Corbett's height difference with co-host Tess Daly.

A show source commented: "Can you imagine how it’ll look? He’s so small he’d only come up to her boobs. It’d be like Little and Large."

Forsyth has hosted the show for five series and is rumoured to be considering leaving the show while it remains a ratings success.


From bad to worse :thumbsdow Get some young blood in to host. Graham Norton would be my choice.

Awwww I know, but hes great, cant he do one last show so we all know.

nooo not Ronnie Corbett! anyone but him! ugh no. haven't been able to stand him since he did that show which was just taking the mick out of children doing silly things.
i think Anton Du Beke should do it, he's the obvious Brucie sucessor! :lol:

Vernon has his Radio 1 show on a Saturday so he probably wouldn't have time to fit in the rehersals.

Will Ronnie actually be able see what is going on? :lol: :rotfl: I like Ronnie Corbett, but I think he is a comedian rather than a presenter and believe that there must be somebody more suitable to replace Brucie if he wants to hang up his step dancing shoes.
