the organisation that Mr White & Le Chiffre work for, kindapped her Algerian boyfriend (who gave her the necklace) and threatened to kill him if she didn't work as a double agent.

Quantum Of Sollace will be delving deeper into this organisation, and will feature Vesper's boyfriend, who isn't all he seems.
