It was announced on 26 December 2007 that the character was to receive a big storyline during 2008, featuring a wager between the new father and son bookies on the street.

Also lined up for the character in 2008 were parties selling underwear, which Kelly would model herself.

On 10 January 2007 is was announced in the Daily Star that Kelly will be replacing Violet Wilson as the Rover's next barmaid. From Spring 08, Kelly will be pulling pints in the bar, according to a source, this is to "centralise her character into the heart of the show". Like her colleague Sean Tully, Kelly will also work at Underworld. The pair previously battled for a job at the Rovers in 2005. Kelly lost out to Sean.

I bet there will be a sudden increase in the menfolk watching Corrie once Kelly is modelling her knickers :lol:

cool, kelly's been stuck doing nothing for ages. i guess i wasn't her fault what happened with craig charles, but it meant her character got left out.

She mentioned a few weeks ago that she was needing more money. Looks like she`ll get her wish by becoming a barmaid. Kelly may as well work there -she spends enough time there as it is. No wonder she has no money.
Kellys character is one I don`t care about at all. The only workers at Underworld I like are Liam, Sally and Vicky. The others are just loud mouthed witches.
