Hollyoaks character Sasha Valentine apparently becomes addicted to drugs after befriending the wrong crowd.
Sasha, played by 19-year-old Nathalie Emmanuel, reportedly gets hooked on speed after taking it at a party, reports the Daily Star.
It seems she is offered it by Fletch (Sam Darbyshire) who is already hooked on cannabis. He has been hanging around with his friends and getting stoned.
A source apparently told the paper: "Hollyoaks never shies away from serious issues.
"Drugs are a huge part of society and far from ignoring it shows like Hollyoaks should be showing young people the dangers of taking them and how easy it is to get hooked.
"No one is glamorising drug-taking."
The scenes will be shown on the Channel 4 show at the end of the month.
In another storyline Michaela McQueen (Hollie-Jay Bowes) is rushed to hospital after Niall Rafferty (Barry Sloane) injects her with heroin.
