looked for a thread on this and couldnt find one

i loved the books when i read them and had been waiting ages for this film (first heard they were making a film when i was in year 8 which was 6 or more years ago!) anyway i saw it yesterday and i thought it was really good, although i really wasnt impressed with the girl who played lyra i didnt think she could act very well at all, and i didnt like the fact that they didnt have the ending  (i heard that if they make a second film they will put the ending on the beginning of that? ) anyway i thought it was a good film. anyone else seen it?

I've seen it; was a rather fab movie. The actresse that played lyra i thought done it really well. Nicole Kidman was fab to. I'm currently reading the first book and it's really good so far. i didn't like the ending much either, but bring on the next one:D

currently ill in bed and so far I've read the first book of the trilogy, though the book was wicked, I finished it in 24 hours. Can't wait to see the film now.....although quite often there a let down, I hope they done the book justice
