I've got a few. Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, Susan Hill, Mary Shelly, Brian Keenan, Dan Brown, and JK Rowling are probably my favourites. But i've read lots and lots of books, so its hard to decide on favourites.

JK Rowling, Keith Ablow, Simon Kernick, Karin Slaughter for fiction.
Torey Hayden (memoir), Gordon Ramsey (biogs) for non-fiction.

There are a few excellent books that I have read but haven't read anything else by the same author so I haven't included them.

At the moment I love Jodi Picoults books, they make you think at the end, she brings up issue's like euthanasia and school shootings and the way she writes about it is really interesting and nothings ever as you expect it!

I also like Sam Hayes, but I don't know if she has any other books out other than blood ties. But I thought blood ties was the best book I've read and I like her style of writing :D

have to be two of my favourites.

I've heard good things about Simon Kernick so I'm going to buy a book of his today.

I don't really have a favourite author at the moment, but I did enjoy Chris Ryan's Blackout, which I read a few months ago, so will be buying more of his books.

I've never been a fan of Harry Potter - not my kinda book. I prefer books that are blood/gore/mystery/action.
