Well 2005 was the big story of Den's murder which was very gripping and also the exits of many big characters but 2007 has also shown massive improvement for the soap and a new batch of good characters but which did you personally find better? and ive missed out 2006 as I think we can all agree it was pretty dire lol

I chose 2007 just because there were so many other "new" characters involved in the story lines..I think 2005 was ok but not as good as 2007 has been..
Just my 2 euro cents worth :D

I chose 2005 but I don't know. Although now it's really good, the year has been pretty poor and I don't like as many characters in the show now as I did in 2005. I think  I can't remember much, someone refresh my memory over what else other than the Den stuff happened?

The Den stuff was great though. Great stuff from Tracy-Ann Oberman!

Well from the top of my head we had the Sonia/Chloe storyline, Demi's boyfriend dying, Mitchells return, Molfie, Dawn coming into it, Dennis dying and..... cant think of much else lol

Hmm The Sonia/Chloe stuff didn't interest me. Neither did the Demi stuff. OH DEAR 2005 was responsible for the Mitchells returning. Molfie I liked :cheer: - at one point I preferred them to Kalfie, but in the end Kalfie was meant to be :p. Dawn meh. Dennis dying hahaha many would think this would be the highlight of '05 - I loved Dennis though.

Hmm looking back on that lot, I've changed my mind :p.

Ive gone with 2007, relly liked it this year, and I know for a fact that in 2005 I watched EE on and off so that cant be good

now I am not sure... I loved this year as EE really got back on track with Stella, may and the addition of much older people like Shirley, Heather, Jase , ronnie and Jack... it has come along way since 2005 and I am glad 2006 is not on this list
Over all.. I will say 2007

I've not really enjoyed this year, unlike most people. Its been pretty textbook, i think. The Stella story was good, but apart from that, its not really been my cup of tea. Personal choice, i suppose. 2005 was probably a bit better. I didn't like Den too much, but Tracy-Ann Oberman made up for it completely. So probably 2005.

Tough choice - I did like both years, but I think I will go with 2005. The reason being that Den's death was absolutely fantastic, as was the build up and the aftermath of the whole situation with Sam digging up the body etc. Tracy Ann Oberman really shone too, and her character of Chrissie remains one of my favourites in soap, so I am going with 2005 as one of my favourite ever storylines was running throughout the majority of that year. I also prefer 2005 as I felt there were more characters I cared about like Kat, Alfie, Dennis, Little Mo, Sharon etc and I really enjoyed the Mitchells return. Dennis's death episode was also extremely tragic on New Year's Eve and very well done.

2007 has been a good year, but I feel I don't seem to care about the characters as much. Also, the Stella storyline was great as was Mad May, but their characters weren't fully developed in my opinion which partly let it down. There have been some stand out episodes this year though with Mad May taking Dawn hostage, Stella's death episode and the Christmas episode of the Stax reveal, but overall, this year has been full of character who I lack care for and storylines haven't been executed to their full advantage, in my opinion.

As enjoyable as the Dirty Den plot was, it was a short term fix for the show, we saw all the greats leave the show that year, and 2006 really showed this, with an awful year for the soap.

2007 has had countless fantastic storylines and characters, I didn't think it'd survive with May and Stella but it has, it's gone from strength to strength. There's a great stable cast now, no one planning on leaving anytime soon, and loads of exciting storylines brewing.

2007 - The year that Eastenders recovered. Bring on 2008. :cheer:

2005 was ok but I got bored with Dirty Den I was pleased when he died lol, and Mad May was terrifying :o I've voted for 2007 as there was more going for eastenders that I enjoyed I hope thats ok that I voted :hmm: :) ,

Without a doubt 2007 - we had psycho Stella, Mad May, Ian's Stalker, Steven's return and Stax Reveal.

I haven't been that taken with the storylines this year, but they were better than those in 2006. Personally I loved 2005 with all the Kalfie, Den's murder and Dennis's end.
