The Brannings - Brilliant.

Its about time we had a thread devoted to this fantastic clan, they are pure gold to EastEnders and such a contrast to the awful Wicks, Millers, and now Mitchells dare I say? Just watched the xmas day episode and yes it failed to disappoint. Class acting all round especially from Max, Tanya and Abi. All the drama felt like the 90's when EE was totally unmissable. Even the script was great, which is hard to say nowadays. They are by far one of the most realistic families the show has ever had, you just know for a fact they reflect real life. It doesn't feel like a chore watching them as it does with other families like the Wicks for example. EastEnders would be mad to let any one of them go. My favourite at the moment (and in the whole show) is Max, I find him such a natural actor and he doesn't feel forced at all, as do none of them. Move over the Slaters, its all about the Brannings for me now.

Stacey is still a Slater really. I do hope Stacey and Bradley reunite cos the joint Branning/Slater get togethers made me laugh, although I imagine they will be a thing of the past regardless. I can't ever see Tanya sitting down with Stacey at the dinner table again.

The Brannings really are awesome. They're my favourites at the moment. Like you said brilliant acting all round. Even though not Max's biggest fan I think Jake does a great job! Abi is my favourite :p She's cute and funny, great acting from Lorna for her age! Better than wooden Ben! Tanya is a fantastic character! And Lauren is fab too!

I'd take the Brannings over the Mitchells ANYDAY!

I love them they are all brilliant and the acting isgreat. Its a geat family unit. The scene wioth Abi under the table was brilliant, she is such a great actor. They really work as a unit, i really really like them.

I agree with that. I was going to post something on here this morning to that effect when I saw that a similar thread had already been started.

I agree that all the Brannings are great, but Jake Wood's performance has been outstanding. He is a true great in the best tradition of Eastenders. :bow:

I think they have turned into a great family, I love them now and Abi is my favourite, funny little girl very sweet and I fell sorry for her at the moment
