Is Heroes the New lost?

Okay, I know we have topics for both, but this is a dicussion on..well to either argue which is better, or whether you agree that Heroes, as it was labelled, The new lost?
Obviously to add the the discussion you'd of had to watch or be watching both :)

I would say yes and no. Yes because its like lost in the sense it grabs my attention with the storylines. But No because I have a greater love for lost and in lost its always been a highly noted character based show as well at the crazy storylines. With the lost I love to know what is happening and going to happen with the island and everything but I always care for the characters and what to know more and more about them in there past lives as well as present

I don't think that Heroes is the next Lost, just as I didn't think Lost would be the new 24 when it was first released. Each show is unique and has it's own set of characters that attracts fans. the only similarities are with a number of US Dramas that they are able to keep the viewers focused and watching for 20 or more weeks.
