BILL VILLAIN CARTY TO QUIT SHOW

FORMER EastEnder Todd Carty is quitting The Bill after two years playing bad cop Gabriel Kent.

Todd, 41 - whose last appearance will be in September - said: "Playing Gabriel was fantastic.

"Storylines have been first rate but its time he got his comeuppance.

"Gabriel being forced to pay for his crimes will be the most exciting of all."

A spokesman for the hit ITV1 series said: "Todd has been amazing."


His role as Gabriel was in stark contrast to hapless market trader Mark Fowler he played in EastEnders.


As Gabriel, he duped Sgt June Ackland into thinking he was her long-lost son, and raped and murdered Pc Kerry Young, unaware she was carrying his baby.


He also left undercover cop Andrea Dunbar to die when an explosion rocked Sun Hill.


Todd started his TV career playing cheeky schoolboy Tucker in hit BBC children's series Grange Hill.

i hate his character after he raped Kerry.... i mean it was good storyline where he killed her... but she belonged with Smithy and when they finally got together he ruined it.... ohhhhhhhhhh EVIL man.... i'm glad he going.... yey yey yey
