One-hour special
It’s Christmas Day and as Sally busily prepares for the family lunch, Rosie sneaks out to meet John who has lied to Fiz that he needs to buy nutmeg for the Christmas dinner. Upon meeting a panicked John, Rosie demands to know what the score is with Fiz, as she wants a proper relationship and she wants him to dump Fiz asap.
Back on the street, Fiz is excited about spending the day with her perfect man and hasn’t been able to resist the temptation of opening her presents but is baffled when she unwraps some sexy lingerie meant for a petite woman, who she instantly assumes is Sally. Storming over the road she thrusts the gift at a puzzled Sally claiming that its proof she's having an affair with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, when Rosie opens her present and finds a large pair of frumpy flannelette pyjamas, John’s horrified as it dawns on him he’s given Rosie Fiz’s present and left Rosie’s at home with Fiz.
Flustered, he races back to the flat, practically throwing Rosie out of the car, but in the Webster's, the two women begin throwing the underwear back and forth as Fiz continues to accuse and Sally continues to deny the allegation. When Rosie arrives home clutching the pyjamas that were meant for Fiz, there’s an awful silence as it dawns on everyone who the sexy underwear was meant for. Kevin is fuming and storms out of the house followed by Rosie and a devastated Fiz. When John appears, Kevin dismisses his excuses and instantly knocks him to the ground and continues to pummel him.
Bill manages to pull Kevin off him and Sally drags Rosie home, while distraught Fiz leaves John lying on the ground and seeks comfort in Chesney and Kirk. Back at the Websters', everyone’s in shock that the affair has been going on under their noses and are stunned when the police arrive to arrest Kevin for assault. Sally’s left alone amidst the debris of a ruined Christmas day, but it’s not just Christmas that’s been ruined. Will Kevin start the new year behind bars? And will Fiz ever forgive John?
Over at the Rovers, Michelle is determined to stay cheerful and tries to enjoy Christmas day for Ryan’s sake. However, Steve and Liam can see through her overly happy façade and although she claims she’s fine, she’s clearly suffering. Will Michelle be able to go through with the DNA test?
David’s Christmas presents do nothing to alleviate his sense of injustice while Sarah desperately tries to convince Jason that moving to Italy is a great idea. Seeing how important it is to her Jason finally agrees to make the move. Sarah’s ecstatic and immediately tells Stephen, but agrees to keep it a secret for the sake of a peaceful Christmas Day. How will David feel when he finds out that Sarah’s hijacked his trip out of Weatherfield?
At Roy's Rolls, Roy has to face the festive season without Hayley and spends the day with Becky, Kirk and Chesney who make a distatrous attempt at cooking Christmas dinner and turn Roy's Rolls into their very own winter wonderland.
Wednesday, December 26
Sarah has booked her flights to Milan and chooses her moment carefully to tell the rest of the family that Stephen has offered her the opportunity in Milan and they’re moving on Sunday.
As the Platts reel in shock, David’s anger overcomes him and he tears into Sarah accusing her of setting him up to steal his opportunity. As Eileen and Gail start to come to terms with the idea, Eileen notices that Jason doesn’t seem as keen as Sarah is and asks if this is what he really wants? Will Jason go through with the move? Will David manage to stop them?
John is taken aback when Rosie seems unconcerned that he's leaving after causing him to lose his girlfriend, home and probably his job. Sally is furious that Rosie is unrepentant about all the trouble she's caused, but panics when Rosie reveals she knows Sally made a pass at him and threatens to tell Kevin. Will Rosie and Sally come to an agreement?
Michelle is still trying to remain upbeat but her nerves are starting to get the better of her and she panics every time the phone rings. Steve assures her that Ryan will love her whatever the test results say, but Michelle's not so sure. How will she feel if the tests confirm her deepest fears?

Later at their farewell party in the pub, Sarah can’t wait to leave but Jason seems quiet, claiming he’s happy if Sarah’s happy. When they arrive back, Jason's unnerved when David rants to him about Sarah, telling him he feels sorry for Jason, as he‘s blind to Sarah’s true colours and she's stiched both of them up. Jason dismisses David but he's clearly worried by David's sincerity as he warns him that his wife's as devious as they come. Will Jason listen to David?

Over in the pub, Vernon marks his territory when he rejects Jim’s offer of help in the pub. Is Jim trying to take Vernon's place?
Elsewhere, Kirk is smitten with Becky after she gives him a Christmas kiss and starts hanging around the café, is he in with a chance?
Sunday, December 30
It’s the morning of Sarah and Jason's departure for Italy and while Eileen and Gail fuss around them making sure they're ready, David is still fuming and refuses to stick around to see them off. As they arrive at the station, Sarah’s gloating at her triumph over David and stuns Jason when she admits that she planted the drugs on him and she’s proud of it.
Jason's horrified as he realises the move wasn’t about a new start for them, but about getting one up on David. Shocked at how devious she’s been, he tells her she's not the girl he fell in love with, and she’s just as bad as David. Jason’s adamant that they need to talk about this and they can’t go to Italy, but Sarah’s resolute: if they go back David' s won.
As she pleads with Jason to get on the train, she's furious when he refuses to budge from the platform. Gutted, Jason arrives back on the street and reveals to a shocked Gail that David was telling the truth all along. Will Sarah get on the plane? How will Gail react to Sarah’s betrayal?
It’s the day before the wedding and Jim is helping Liz dress the Rovers ready for the reception. He wheedles his way into her emotions when he draws back memories of happy times they spent together and later, when he playfully smacks her bottom, it's clear there's still chemistry between them. Liz has been thrown into emotional turmoil by Jim, who knows he's awoken forbidden feelings in his ex-wife. Will Jim see this as a green light to stop the wedding?
Meanwhile, Rosie is still being shunned by her family and she sees Fiz on the street and decides to apologise for any upset she's caused. However, when Fiz tears into her for ruining her life, Kevin intervenes. As he leads Rosie away she thanks him for rescuing her but he asserts that he did it for Fiz's sake not hers. Will the Websters ever forgive Rosie?
Elsewhere, after a lonely Christmas Day, Jerry is delighted when Kayleigh and Finlay return from their mum's and he sets about creating another day of festivities for all the family.
