New AAU Surgical Consultant Linden Cullen arrives on the ward, provoking mixed reactions from the staff, as the medical drama continues. Lola is worried that Linden's arrival has threatened her position as head of the Acute Assessment Unit.
Sam is still suffering from his chemotherapy treatment and struggles on his way to work. He insists he is fine when he gets there but later collapses in theatre and is signed off sick. Stuart sees Chrissie comforting him and battles feelings of jealousy.
