White spots

My mum has been to the hospital after going numb all down her left side. She has been like it since September.
She went for an MRI and they found white spots.
All I can find that contains these symptoms is MS.
Does anyone know of anything else it could be. She has no other symptoms

Sorry to hear about that. Did the consultant not say what they thought it was - or are further tests pending?
