Wednesday 5th December
PCs Diane Noble (Kaye Wragg) and Will Fletcher (Gary Lucy) respond to a call about a stolen limousine and chase it onto a busy building site. The car jackers manage to run away, leaving the officers to deal with a scantily clad and scared hen party trapped inside the car.
Sergeant Stone (Sam Callis) finds a bag of cocaine in the boot and discovers the original driver, Dave Latham (Sam Hazeldine), was dragged out of the car and beaten up. Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) goes to Dave’s house, where she finds his pregnant wife, Danielle (Katy Helps), bloodied and unconscious.
Elsewhere, DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) meets up with his driver Trevor Jones (Sid Owen), who tells Stuart he saw Dave that morning and explains there are rumours about someone using limousines to get cocaine to customers.
At St Hugh’s, Danielle identifies her attacker as Lloyd Carter (Jody Halse) who is brought in for questioning. Cagey at first, Lloyd finally confesses that he was paid to beat Danielle up by Piers Halston (Dominic Power), Dave’s boss. Meanwhile, Trevor takes it upon himself to organise a meeting between Stuart and Dave. Dave confesses he has been ‘watering down’ the cocaine in order to make some money. When Piers found out, he sent Lloyd after himself and his wife.
After explaining that Piers deals drugs through a car valeting firm, DC Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) is sent in undercover as a city banker to order a limo with drugs included. With the other officers waiting for to storm the valeting business, Mickey becomes anxious as he realises Piers is on to him.
Thursday 6th December
PCs Sally Armstrong (Ali Bastian) and Will Fletcher (Gary Lucy) are called to an assault, where they find a bag of drugs next to badly beaten Trevor Jones (Sid Owen) and an unconscious Chloe Faraday (Molly Portsmouth). DS Stuart Turner (Doug Rao) and DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) are tasked with the job of linking the attack to a dangerous drug dealer, named as ‘The Postman’.
At the hospital, Trevor is questioned by Stuart but claims not to have seen the attacker. Stuart and Jo find Chloe’s ex boyfriend, Lee Croft (Paul Richard Biggin), with Chloe’s daughter but he swears he’s innocent. After further investigation, Jo discovers that Chloe’s pimp, Dean Glover (Anton Saunders), along with Mark Spiller (Terry Bird) and Vic Grant (Darren Clarke) were all previously involved in an armed robbery.
Mark is brought in for questioning and admits that he was paid by ‘The Postman’ to attack Chloe as she refused to sell drugs for him. Vic is tracked down to a massage parlour where he threatens to hurt one of the girls until he is brought down by Jo. Back at the station, Vic swears he’s not The Postman, but is equally determined to find out who he is.
Elsewhere, PCs Nate Roberts (Ben Richards) and Ben Gayle (Micah Balfour) attend a disturbance at a café where owner George Flint (David Ryall) nervously watches his son Jim (Nicholas Gadd) argue with Gareth Dayton (Frank McGinty). During the argument, Jim is accidentally sprayed in the face with paint and is rushed to hospital. During the investigation, Ben discovers that George was the victim of a racial assault and Jim is later able to identify Danny Webster (Gareth Abel) as the attacker.
Ben and Nate are later called to a disturbance at Danny’s house where they find Jim threatening him with a baseball bat. Danny is arrested for the attack on George and is also found with drugs on him. Back at the station, Danny eventually admits to the attack and claims the drugs belong to a man he’s never met: ‘The Postman’. Stuart manages to get the dealers phone number and is horrified when he discovers ‘The Postman’s’ true identity…
